HAIRIZONA how are you doing with the snow? Did you guys get snowed in today?

Candi - I leave this Sunday, March 27th for Switzerland and will return on April 4th, so I might be gone from Sparks during this time. :( But I will be in Switzerland! :)

RHONDALYN10 WAY2GO on getting in your workout! Keep it up.

Well I am starting to get even more excited, it is Thursday, which means alot closer to Friday (I love my FRIDAYS!) but this one is even better b/c it is alot closer to Sunday and my trip. On Saturday I am going to the spa for massage, mani/pedi, haircut, eye brows to really relax and start off my vacation relaxed! WOOO HOOOO

I concur - time for some warm weather!
I did get in a 5 mile run and 6 week 6 pack so that is good for this crazy Wed!

Last night's show was just plain crazy! I was shocked and frustrated!

OMG- honestly is this winter ever going to end. I'm in southern Ontario and we are getting pounded today:(
Worked today and got the boys out of school earlier due to the storm. So have not yet worked out, but still hoping to get it in today.

RHONDALYN10 thanks, I know we will have great time in Switzerland. So, what did you think of BL last night? I thought it would be Arthur too but it was Jay, which I am glad it was. Drama is right! Just like Brett said KARMA, Kaylee wanted to go home but it didn't happen, which I knew would happen I can pretty much predict these shows and what will happen, it's all about ratings. I was sorry to see Justin go b/c he works so hard and he was a true leader.

How is everyone doing this fine "HUMP DAY"! emoticon

I still have not been able to work out which I am not too worried about (1) knee bugging me and I will be doing SO MUCH walking in Switzerland. I still have yet to even start packing, kinda of hard with MIL visiting this week and have to entertain.

HAIRIZONA this is a vacation trip with one of my GF. We are visiting an old soccer teammate of ours (who played for the Women's National Greece soccer team in the Olympics) she is working for FIFA now and she is based in Zurich so we are visiting her, how cool is that! Free place to stay and get to see old friend/teammate! WOO HOO. Trust me, I hate math too, if I run out of fingers and toes I am in trouble! :) Happy you figured it out.
Pssstttt..I have been slacking off myself! It is alot getting ready for an international trip, if you know what I mean.

YAMINO - I know exactly how you feel about not being able to sparks while at work, I can only sneek it in while BOSS is not here! He is at meeting right now but will be back soon. Good Luck.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday. I am looking forward to watching Biggest Loser tonight. Though I wish they would do it without all the drama (but I guess that is what ppl like to watch though I have enough drama I don't need to see it on tv) I would rather they just be whomever loses least goes home no voting, no drama, etc. still like the challenges and to see people's transformations but I guess like I said if they didn't have drama nobody would watch (well I would!) :) Another thing I like about Tuesdays I don't have to cook! WOOO HOOO Everyone is on their own at my house or we just pick up fast food (I know bad but we don't do it all the time so it's okay).

Okay i just looked it up 15lbs = 6.8kg. I hate math.LOL

I'm making myself crazy..i went on my sparkpage and when i push edit my page and scroll down it shows it saying pounds loss, but when i click save changes and then look it goes back to kilograms...grrr

I DID IT!!! For anyone else who wants to see lbs NOT kg, you have to go to the start pg, press your account at the top and where you see that you clicked show in the metric system, just unclick that and save.
Sorry to go on about this but now i'm happy. emoticon

Okay last edit i promise. I just now realized that NOW all of your weight loss tickers are showing in pounds on my screen. OMG i have been sparking for 6mths and i feel like today is the first day as far as this site goes.LOL

I just put up my weight loss ticker and i have a question?? I want to lose 15lbs, but its showing 15kg. Is there a way of changing it to lb. And as dumb as this sounds what is the conversion of a lb vs a kg? emoticon

Unfortunately at work I am not going to be able to come on to spark really which stinks! lol It makes me feel like I am being spark deprived!

I hope everyone had a great monday! And I hope today is another good day for you all! Tonight I am meeting up with two of my close friends and we are going to this club that is having Zumba! Its looks so awesome and i cant wait! I need a good burn/workout and I am hoping tonight I will get it! Woohoo!

Candi that is great news, good luck at your chiropractor appt, keep us posted.

Today I am getting super excited b/c my Switzerland trip is almost here (leaving on Sunday) emoticon BUT I am nervous at same time as this will be the first time overseas w/o hubby and my cell is NOT international phone, I might crack going one week without talking to the special man in my life. I am hoping friend who is going with me can turn her cell into international phone, I know there is emails but still not the same and who knows when we can check our emails.

Sokkernut- It's doing ok. It has moved up..no pain in my calf lately. I'm going back to the chiropractor for another adjustment, hopefully that will help again! Saturday I didn't have any pain at all..so I just enjoyed it. Yesterday I went for a mile walk in the beautiful weather, I had a small amount of pain...still a small amount of pain today in my hip. Hopefully the stretching tonight will help. emoticon

I am happy to hear everyone is doing well. Way to go everyone!!! Keep up the good work!!

I started week 2 on the Ripped in 30 today. another great workout. Then I did 3 sets of Iron Core kettlebells and got a new 20 lb bell after taking that class on Saturday.

Yes it does feel amazing, especially when ppl notice, b/c trust me it is hard work but it can be done. My motto "consitency over intensity". It did take me 5 years to finally get it right but it feels oh so good. WOW great dinner you are making me hungry!

Sokkernut- thanks for the snaps. And dosen't it feel amazing when people notice all your hard work. not to mention people are genuinely interested on how you do it day in and day out. Most people just don't have the will power.
Last night we had dinner at our BF's place. It was incredible..steak, mushrooms, grilled asparagus,zucchini,red pepper and ceasar salad. We ate slow and enjoyed every bite. My BF lost 25lbs last year following weight watchers, so her and i are on the same mind set of clean eating.

YAMINOKODOMO way 2 go on getting your run in on the treadmill.

HAIRZONA WOW sick and all and still got your workouts in GO SUPER WOMAN!

RONDLYN you are SUPER WOMAN too with those heavy weights.

I have so much going on lately. Working way too hard and many hours. Saturday (yesterday) had DiGornio Pizza and Hoops party, I had 50 ppl. The party started at 3 p.m. and the last ppl to leave, left at 10 p.m.! We had an awesome time but the best part was I saw friend I hadn't seen in 3 years and she said you are TOO SKINNY! I had to laugh I said I working on it, I still have 4 lbs to go she said NO YOU DON'T! :) Even at 129 I feel great, I am healthy. Then another friend says how can you not graze with all this food in front of you? I said b/c I eat 6 small meals a day every 3-4 hours to keep my metabolism up and I eat in moderation as well. These are all things I have learned in my lifestyle journey.

Burn is good as long as no pain is involved! I find that with heavier wts my shoulders during lateral lifts or front lifts can't handle so I use a lighter weight (for me) with those. It is all about what is right for you.
Way to go! Keep at it!

Was able to use the treadmill last night and I loved it! I am so glad I got to run on it! I got in a good sweat! This is a woohoo moment for me, I need to put this down in the woohoo moments thread! lol

Dont worry SOKKERNUT you have been working like crazy so I know if I was in your shoes I definitely would crash IMMEDIATELY once I get home too!

Glad to hear you are feeling better today HARIZONA!

I am going to see if I can use my boyfriends treamill tonight so I can put in a nice long run! Plus their treadmill lets you hook up your ipod to it and then there are speakers built in so you can play your music through the treamill. Awesomeness! lol I havent put in a good run in a while!

Yaminokodomo- My Dr didn't say how long :(

Sokkernut- it's ok today, not as bad. I think the adjustment helped a bunch :) Today it is up in my hip more than in my thigh- I think that is good. He said he needed it to travel up not down.

Good Morning All,

I feel much better than yesterday. My cold is still there, but i don't feel like a mac truck ran over me.LOL
Back to work this afternoon for a few hrs. I am an esthetician at a salon so i don't ever have access to the internet when i'm at work(which is usually 5-6days/wk). This has been a great week to join a new group because i have been home and able to log on throughout the day.

I have been smokin busy at the office I have been worn out by the time I get home I literally crash. I feel awful I have not exercised. Last time I did was Monday, played tennis with hubby for an 45 mins. I think that did me in b/c I was still not 100% from recovering from flu, that nasty nasty thing.

Hey guys! Its been such a loooooooong day! I had no internet at work all day today so I havent had a chance to get on until now! Hope everyone is having, or head rather.. a great St. Patricks day!

Hey Candi I am sorry to hear that you are going through that! Ask your doctor but I dont think yoga should be too bad if you do the light yoga because it stretchs out? How long will it be before it gets better?

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well today either HAIRIZONA! But woohoo on picking up the ripped in 30!

I cant wait for the weekend to get here already! Its seems like its been the longest week EVA! Especially with this one hour difference lol I have been waking up so tired!

Tomorrow I will try to put up a Quote of the Day before heading to work because once I am at work I am not going to have access to a computer all day, which sucks.. I am going to have internet withdrawl.. lol!

HAIRIZONA sorry to hear you are feeling worse these days, don't push it (trust me I know).

CANDI - yes would love April challenge! I have not participated in March challege due to illness. Sorry to hear about your sciatica that is no FUN I have had the before and stretching helped alot along with appts to my chiropractor. I would suggest Leslie Sansone Walking DVDs but there is alot of leg lifting, side steps and don't know if that would make it worse or better for you. These Walking DVDs are not as easy as some people may think.

Finished day 1 of ripped in 30. emoticon

It is very simular to 30 day shred. She basically took signature moves from her shred workout and her BFBM workout and combined them to make a new workout.
I liked it, but having this cold it has only loosened up my chest and i feel like coughing up a lung.

So here is an update or new info to some of you~ I fell on the ice back at the beginning of December, went to the Dr. in January due to still in pain. She thought it was a deep tissue bruise...well still being in pain & traveling down my leg, I went to my chiropractor today. He says it is my Sciatic Nerve....YUCK!! And that it's not good that it has traveled down my leg. So NO strenuous exercise...I can walk, push-ups & sit ups. So this will be my plan to walk away the pounds. Plus he gave me some stretches to do.

Ok so has anyone had this issue?? Can I do yoga?

The reviews say that it is harder than 30 Day Shred. It is similar in the 3-2-1 system which I love. Haven't made it past level 1 yet so not sure but I know that it is a good workout for me! Hope you like it!

So after i took my boys to the lego store, i stopped into the Walmart and was able to scoop up the JM Ripped in 30 dvd. This Walmart did not have the 6wks dvd in stock. I have her 30 day shred dvd. I'm curious how simular the two dvds are.

Thanks YAMINOKODOMO, I have felt so bad b/c I am a workoutacholic, that I don’t have a problem with it is my food intake! :( I really wanted to dive right into the Ripped in 30 days b/c I love JM and this was something different, you know what they say you have to change up your workout routine every 4-6 weeks, I do it anyway b/c I get bored really easy. That is great that your husband adds JM to his workouts. Hubby “tries” to do JM workouts with me but he lasts like 3 minutes and says I am done. He doesn’t need it though he thin as rail, can eat anything he wants and plays a lot of soccer, he just cannot keep up with aerobics for long periods of time (he is after all 12 years older than me).

HAIRIZONA sorry to hear you are suffering from a head cold that is no fun either. Hope you feel better soon.

RHONDALYN10 that is such a cute story about your daughter and what she said.

I haven’t even attempted the 6 pack DVD yet, I cannot wait to try it. There has just been so much going on for the month of March and I really want to be 100% b/c I leave for Zurich, Switzerland on March 27th! WOOO HOOO

Exactly what RHONDA said HAIRIZONA lol. The 6 week to 6 pack came out a little while ago but I just recently got it so I am now on my 3rd week. The next one she came out with is the ripped in 30 and then she has two more she is coming out with. There is another thread about it I frogot what the title of that thread was.. But yea she definitely has a lot of workout dvds! lol

LOL Rhonda! You see! Even your child knows how deadly JM is! Thats great!

Yea once I finish the 6 weeks I think I might do the ab workouts on days that I do cardio, and maybe alternate with the level 1 and level 2!

6 week 6 pack came out a couple of months ago so yes, it is relatively new. I LOVE IT. I use it on the days I run (M, W, F). Did round 2 of Ripped in 30 (it came out 1 March) and I am not as sore today but I did have a great sweat while doing it and love it.

Today was a funny moment - I finished my run and then started the 6 week 6 pack DVD. Of course I am sweating like crazy and about 1/2 way through when my Kindergartner walks in and says "Wow Mom, she's (JM) killing you. No more easy days for you."
It was everything in my power not to laugh but she was so right!

Yaminokodomo-6 week to 6 pack? That must also be a new dvd. Boy i feel out of the loop. I haven't been up on her new dvds apparently. I will look into these though because i'm always interested. My husband sometimes adds my JM dvds to his workouts.

Sokkernut- I managed to get through the whole winter without getting sick, and now that we're so close to spring i have a wicked head cold this week. Hope your on the mend so you can get back to business:)

Rhonda gotta keep us updated too on your ripped in 30 progress! Once I finish the 6 week to 6 pack I am going to get the ripped in 30! This week I started level 2 from the 6 week to 6 pack and for some reason my butt is sore! lol I cant even think of which position was the one that made me sore. I didnt get to workout yesterday so tonight I have to do it!

Oof I am sorry you caught the flu SOKKERNUT! And especially being sick and having to work that many hours, thats tough. Yea definitely take it easy and make sure your body gets the rest it needs! Once you are 100% better I know you are going to kick butt in the ripped in 30!

emoticon idea. I have not been able to stick to plan for the month of March so far due to having the flu for 2 weeks and then trying to get back into the swing of things at work, work is a killer right now last week I worked 63 hours and I even left early last Friday. YIKES. I am taking easy and steady as the dr said it takes time to get over this bug. emoticon I don't want to have a relapse (I am alot older and wiser now so I listen and do as told). emoticon

Great idea! I completed my second day of Ripped in 30 so am anxious to see how I feel tomorrow. When I did it last week before I left on our mini-vaca I was sore for 3 days!

I just came back to the team to log in that i did JM yoga Meltdown dvd, and noticed this new thread. Yah this is exactly what i need. i hope more members are interested in getting to know each other and helping motivate each other on a daily basis.
