Sounds like a lot of food and points left over for ice cream. You can't do better than that!

Back from dinner and it was yummy and not too bad on points! The fish tacos are a combo with the salad bar,so started with a nice big veggie filled salad and the "lite" dressing option, the 2 fish tacos were on a small flour tortilla with big pieces of juicy fish cilantro,a little cheese and fresh made salsa! DH is laughing at me because I enjoyed it soo much,he said I'm a cheap date!! LOL! Enough points left for a WW ice cream for snack!! Di

Good morning friends! Joan I'll join ya on the great day!! Food is tracked the only tricky part is dinner.DH wants to go to Ruby Tuesdays with a gift cert. we've had since Xmas. I looked at the menu and there is a lot of WW friendly stuff I can have. I am choosing the spicy fish tacos and salad bar as I have 10 AP's and all my weekly's I haven't used. I shouldn't be too far over my daily's anyway!! I have to learn to trust in the fact I can use my AP's and weeklies and still lose!! Have a great day!! BBL Diane

Happy Monday!

Diane~ I hear ya on the fad diets. I have done SO many diets but WW works the best for me and is the most liveable. Exercise is similar, I have done all sorts of exercises but walking always gets the weight off me the best.

I STOPped for the weekend and am off to a great start for the week.

Have a good day, Joan emoticon

Thanks Kim! Good afternoon all! Well I almost did what I've been known to do and that's stray from WW to some fad diet!! A girl I work with has been doing the Fast Metabolism Diet, and yes she lost about 30 pounds,so she keeps telling me that is what I should do. She even gave me her book! I actually started it once but a lot of cooking involved and you eat certain things in certain fazes. I really just want to do WW's,count my points use the Smart Ones once in a while when time is crazy. I stopped at Stop and Shop on the way home from my daughters and WW and skinny cow are all on sale,2 for $5 so we bought 4 boxes to have in the freezer. I can only have them on the few nights I'm not working so should last a while! Hope everyone is having a great STOP weekend!! Diane

Diane~ Look at it this way, different meetings/leaders will keep it interesting!

Jane~ Waffle bowls and ice cream? Yum! I can't trust myself scooping ice cream and am much safer with the individually wrapped ice cream treats like skinny cow. I am STOPping along with you this weekend.

Linda~ Welcome back to WW.

I weighed in today and was up .6. This makes me mad after working so hard all week and staying on plan perfectly! I am expecting/hoping for a good loss next week. emoticon

Just rejoined WW this past Wednesday with my friend. Successfully lost over 80 lbs 10 years ago which actually put me too low for my ability to maintain.............have regained about 45 or so of that and now have about 35 I'd like to take off to reach my goal. I've been on Spark for several years and have lost/regained the same 20 lbs since then.................. decided I needed to go back to what works. We're doing the Simple Start now and will take each day at a time. So far, so good!

I'm going to do some exploring here ......... want to see what the emoticon is all about!

Thanks for being here!

Just STOPping by to say let's GO STOP for the weekend!!!! Every day is a STOP day, but for some reason the weekends seem to be a much bigger challenge! I'm going to print off some more STOP signs and take them to my meeting in the morning to share --- and while I'm printing, I will make a few new ones for myself to post in some new places around my living spaces --- don't want to forget to STOP! STOPping is so GOod!!!!

Finally found some of the Keebler Waffle bowls at Walmart today -- only 1 point and it was so fun to have my ice cream in one tonight! Really tasty!

Have a fabulous Friday evening!

Good afternoon friends!! I will definitely STOP with you!! Just tracked my food for the day and I still have about 8 points left! I don't want to fill it in with junk food but not sure what to do? Maybe I'll take a ride to the store and get WW ice cream for a nice treat and some points!! Haven't been to a meeting in a few weeks and planning on going tomorrow morning,I know I'm up a few pounds but that's O.K. I'm back and going to get this done! Diane

Jane~ Come whip my house into shape when you finish with yours!

Dakota~ I would guess the tacos are lower points wise. Did you try to calculate what each menu option would be?

I am hungry today. Luckily I brought plenty of fruits and veggies with me to work.

Kim bless you for the work you do! So here I am and I feel I'm really ready to do this. I have been playing with the program for way too long. After a lot of thought I realized I wasn't trusting the WW program. Yes I was tracking but never did I use all my daily points, always had 8 or more left over.I also was trying to do low carb or vegetarian with in the ww guidelines. So after a deep breath and a lot of thought it's time to trust the WW program and do it the way it was meant to be done! Feeling great and off to track my day!
Patti thanks for being an inspiration.
I am taking Mom out for lunch for her Bday, going to the Bear and gril and searched the menu for good choices. Either turkey burger on multi grain bread w/ sweet potatoe fries or filet mignon tacos. What do you think is a better choice?? Diane

Oh my Kim --- you do have your hands full. I can't imagine what your day is like with being responsible for children in shelters and with so many needs --- bless you my friend - will be praying that you have a great year - these kids are so fortunate to have a caring teacher like you in their lives. My day went very well -- it's always fun to see all the kids, hear about their summers, and get things under way for the new year --- they're always so fresh, clean, and ready to go! We even had an early dismissal - so it was a pretty quick day too -- plus there was a special coffee hour before school and I had coffee and fruit and the bagels/donuts didn't even talk to me!!!! yay!!! that's a wonderful feeling to be able to pass those nasty little calories up and feel good about it --- no magnetic pull on me from them at all!!!

Hope everyone has had a terrific Tuesday! Tomorrow is a ME day --- I want to whip this house into shape now that DD is back to college and I'm off until my afternoon lessons arrive --- woohoo for time to get something done! I fear the dust bunnies are becoming more like dust BEARS!

That is early. I finally got someone to relieve me at 12:30 so I could grab a salad. That's one way to stay on track. I left level 2 special education so I didn't have to work every night. I'm supposed to have less needy kids now. Not the case this year. I have several in the homeless shelter and several that are very needy so here we go again!
Jane, hope your first day went well!

Happy Tuesday! I am back to school - first day with students - and having my lunch ----- at 11:00~~~EARLY!!! oh the fun things we do in elementary school! I would call this brunch due to the early hour - but it will become normal after a couple of weeks!!! It actually feels more like breakfast after having summer break and sleeping in some days --- but I'm having salad and veggies, so I know it's supposed to be lunch!!!

Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!

opps for got to add the following, My main problem is I am never hungry first thing in the mornings so I just end up having a yogurt and coffee for breakfast. I just don't know why that is just how I am. Have anyone ever tried the Greek yogurt from Dannon light and fit. They are so good and only 80 calories to.

Hello everyone, Well I been having a busy week.. We haven't been home much so we been eating out and haven't exercise either unless you count walking. We been running around so much I am so happy to be home finally. All weekend I just relax and laid around enjoying being home. Last week hubby had doctor appt and blood work and other test. Then the kid had eye doctors appts and dentist appt. It was appt on top of appt you know. The kids started school on the 14th and so far they love it. My daughter Breanna says she has a crush on her teacher already. She said he a hottie. Kids you know. My middle schooler school went to uniforms so we had to go out and get him some uniforms. Navy shorts and Navy pants and Grey polo shirts and solid color sneakers which wasn't easy to find in high tops. But other wise everything is going good. As for me and hubby we still trying and hoping for the best. as for the weather well it been so hot here that we hitting 100's still. I ended up gaining weight again but other then that just have to try harder you know. I won't beat myself up over it. Just have to get back on track and do better. Hope all is well with everyone.

I have Jane and the STOP challenge to thank for helping me lose weight each week. The old WW me would weigh in and then go crazy eating wise over the weekend, and then work like crazy all week to compensate for this, to then end up with a disappointing weigh in the next week. I was on a vicious cycle in the past but not anymore! I have lost 12.6# my first month. emoticon

There are several really succesful WW members at my meeting. 70# loss, 100# loss, 130# loss. Very cool!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Joan

I know how hectic the start of a school year is for teachers! Hang in there!

Jane~ Are we going to STOP this weekend? It has made all the difference for me and my weight loss.

I work a second job as a home care nurse for a medically fragile 2 year old after work on Tuesdays and Fridays. My regular school job hours are 8-3 and I do home care 3:30-8:30. I am a busy bee! emoticon

I am looking forward to a weight loss at my meeting tomorrow. emoticon

I'm feeling the same way Jane. Unpacking boxes for 2 days and working 12 hr. days around construction workers hasn't been easy. I'll have to be there a lot this weekend but maybe I'll feel more ready on Monday. At least you can't munch a lot when you're that busy. Kids come tomorrow!

emoticon emoticon = DOG TIRED!!!

Had another full day of meetings and room prep --- then errands and lessons and enough already!!!! Still need to finish up a couple of things in the morning and then I'm DONE!

We have been so blessed with great weather right now -- usually this is the time of year when it gets really hot - but so far, we're good! It makes all the difference when you're running around like crazy --- SO nice to have a little breeze and be in the high 70's low 80's!

Looking forward to having a bit of relaxing time this weekend --- still have to move DD back to school - but that's not until Sunday and she's not taking as much as she has in the past. And then it will be the empty nest! I have mixed emotions about that part --- it's always sad and way too quiet when she's at school ----- but it's also nice to shift into a little more relaxed atmosphere! She keeps things movin' around here --- and she's a talker --- never a dull moment but always full speed ahead!!! I really notice a difference in how often I need to run the sweeper even!!! is that possible?? can one little person (she's just 5' tall and weighs about 102!!) create more dust??? it seems like it to me but I don't know if that's really true or just seems like it!!!

Hope everyone is having a great evening!!! Enjoy!

Hi Healthier!

Great snack! I'm going to have an apple for my snack today too!

You start school early there. You must be in the south? They seem to start sooner. We always start the day after Labor Day. We have our State Fair starting next Thursday. I look forward in going. Lots of walking. Going to stay on track. Even if I have to use my weekly points.

Everyone else have a great OP day!

Hello,

Just had a yummy apple for a snack and went for a quick walk at work. Every step counts!

Jane~ I agree, I do much better diet wise when I am working and have a routine to follow. When I am off work I can get too relaxed and free style.

Have a good day, Joan

Our school is postponed one day due to construction delays. There's more to the story, which I'll try to share tomorrow night when I have more time. Long day and another one tomorrow, then kids come on Friday.

Staff meeting all day today --- and got a repeat tomorrow --- meetings, meetings, meetings --- tis the season for many!!! It was good to get back though -- loving the "normal" schedule that will begin next week -- regular schedules make for better eating plans! I stay OP much better when on a regular predictable schedule versus the free-for-all schedule of summer --- but it's mixed emotions too - hate to summer all done.

Hope everyone continues to stay focused --- good to see some members back and posting, chatting, etc. --- the more the merrier when we're talking about members ---- now that's a whole other story if we're talking about our weigh ins!!! Funny how in some things MORE is better and in other things LESS is blessed!!! I wonder if it will ever change???? can you imagine waking up some morning and reading the headline news and it say "Eat more chocolate - it is now calorie free and so good for you" ------ hahaha --- that would likely be a dream and not a reality!!!!

Remember the old saying, "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail." So simple, yet so true. Another one is "a hungry weight watcher is a dangerous weight watcher." It is super important for me to adhere to both of these old sayings to be succesful.

Have a great day, Joan

Good evening gang! I agree being prepared is a huge part of success! I also cooked ahead today, made stuffed Portobello mushrooms with xtra lean ground beef, kale, spinach, onions and garlic. Also stuffed a huge zucchini DH brought in from the garden. Stuffed with onions, peppers, kale, spinach, diced tomatoe and black beans with a little ww shredded cheese melted on top! Back to work tomorrow and no time off for a week and a half. Take time to take care of you!! Diane

The planning and cooking ahead really helps me too Jane.
First day back, mostly filled with meetings. I got 2 more kids on my roster today. I love my 3rd grade boys, but I'm afraid they're going to have to move up to the next teacher a year early. I have a lot more students than she has right now. We can finally get into our building tomorrow, although the construction guys will still be finishing things up. I have a meeting at 10:00 so I only have a couple of hours to work. I thought I had all day Wed., but, you guessed it, a meeting was scheduled for one of the new kids! I know where I'll be this weekend. Let the fun begin!

Busy Monday in my corner of the world! Things are getting crazy with DD packing up to go back to college - me going back to school - DS having computer issues right before the semester starts - hubby real busy with work - oh my! This is only Monday!!! I have a feeling it's going to be a whirlwind until we all get in our places and back to "normal" !!!!

I had some time this morning to clear out the fridge and did some cooking --- made a big bowl of tuna salad and it's really good! I forget to make it regularly, so when I do, it always tastes so good --- love having things made and ready in the fridge! Also cut up a watermelon and cantaloupe -- always good to have on hand. Plus I made sf jello with fruit and thawing some Coolwhip --- I do best staying OP when I take time to plan ahead and cook ahead --- it just makes it easier!

Hope you're all having a lovely evening ---

WOW!! lots going on in here!!!

Joan -- WTG on passing by that theatre popcorn!!! and so glad you're "gaining" something from the STOPping and the TO DO list --- I'm loving both myself and find them to be valuable "tools" in this weight loss journey!

Kim -- CONGRATS to our new granny!!! love the name Braxton James! Have a wonderful first day BTS (back to school) --- you're not alone - we're all heading in that direction real fast!!! Enjoy!

Dukefan -- we have quite a collection of recipe sites down in the Resources Forum - check 'em out!!!!

I've been going in many directions this weekend --- but one direction I am so thankful for is the one of being on program! Nothing feels better than that --- I LOVE feeling in control and focused ---- and the only weigh to get those feelings is being on program - period - end of story - end of post!!!!!

Just got back from helping the kids get settled in and having a little baby time. I'm going to get a couple of things done here and decide what to wear to work tomorrow.

I've got one more week before the new semester starts, looks like I'll finish grad school in December! Yay! Meanwhile, it'll be a busy semester of school, on top of FT work. So I'm trying to get a good plan set up for the fall, with more healthy recipes in my arsenal. Any suggestions, favorite recipe websites/cookbooks welcome!
