I got to see mum on Friday and we had a little chat, she could not talk much.
Then got a call Sunday so off back to London, but she did not wake at all.

Just after 2pm Monday afternoon I got the call that she had passed away.

So I did get to say my goodbyes.

Wow, you're on a roll Liz and seem to be really loving the gym. The one that I use right now is located inside my apartment complex, not one of those high tech ones. But, it has all that I need right now (treadmill and bike).

I feel the urge to get in an extra workout right now so I think I'll lace up my sneakers and get in 45 minutes or so of "something".

Had my induction session at the gym this morning, loved it!!

Basically we decided, for the remainder of this month, I will just concentrate on cardio. So did an hour, consisting of treadmill, bike, rowing machine and elliptical. I also did a little bit on the captains chair for my abs hehe.

I can add strength at any time I wish, but right now I just want to get into the routine of actually going! (I would be very lazy NOT to go, as it is less than 5 minutes walk from my door!)

I told him my first goal is to get to 140 by my birthday, so that is 12 pounds in 6 1/2 weeks, although truthfully as I told him, I am more interested in losing inches, so we will see how things go.

All in all I felt great and am looking forward to tomorrows session.

That sounds emoticon Lizzy and I would be excited too. I've thought about joining a gym. There's an LA Fitness not too far from where I live. Right now I'm just using the gym at my apartment complex. There's a treadmill, elliptical, bike, and free weights machine. It's not full serviced. I believe also that being in a gym really pumps you to push harder. I can always use that.

Oh boy oh boy!!

I just signed up for a 3 year membership at the gym just around the corner from where I live.

They had some kids delivering leaflets and the cost was just too good to pass up!
If I took their leaflet offer it would have been 3.99 a week (which is just about half their usual cost) BUT if I took out a 3 year membership it worked out at just over 2 a week!

So I took the 3 year offer.
That's for unlimited access 7 days a week 9am-5pm which is great for me as I don't work outside the home. They do actually open at 6.30am till 9pm, but no need for me to go that early or late.

Also what's even better is that if I plan on my usual 3 month winter holiday I can freeze my membership, so I don't lose any time! WooHoo I'm stoked!!

I always work out better at the gym than I do at home.
I have my induction tomorrow morning at 10am, and they also give personal training included and reviews every 6 weeks.

I've already got my bag ready for the morning LOL

I got in another workout today. I did interval training on the treadmill for 35 minutes. At first I started not to go, especially since I felt a little muscle strain for couple days. But I felt better after completing my workout.

It's been another lovely day here on the easy coast of the UK (7pm now)

Spent most of the day outside, but went into town to get some feeders for all the birds that come every day
As soon as we walk into the kitchen they are there on the fence chirping away.

On the diet side, I haven't lost any weight the last 2 days, I think it's just my body adjusting again with the added veggies.
Been much better walking in the sunshine though, still haven't re-started the 30 day shred, but want to soon.
I also need to start using my elliptical more often
as I kind of left it alone last week..opps
I didn't want to "over exercise" with the new diet plan.

Well our lovely sunny morning is turning into a miserable grey afternoon.

Was up early at 6am, and off to the boot sale at 8.

Finally found some dumb bells, a set of 3 pairs, that were almost brand new and a 5th of the price that they cost at the store, so was happy with those!

Then the regular butcher was there giving out some great deals!
I ended up coming home with 7 pounds of rib eye, 6 pounds sirloin, 4 beef roast joints, 1 pork joint, a bag of chicken pieces and one pack bacon, all for 40....less than $60. That will keep me going in protein for a while lol

So everything is now packed into portions and in the freezer or the oven, and I'm ready for a nap!

I would love to have Jillian as a trainer.
I have her 30 day shred and she's just not the same on dvd as she is on the show.

Just have to win the lottery and I would go on her wellness cruise!

It was a beautiful day today. I had an awesome workout at the gym. Funny thing happened. I always picture myself being trained by both Jillian and Bob. While I was about 3/4 way through my workout today, I was getting pretty tired and wanting to call it quits at 45 minutes. Then I saw a preview of "Biggest Loser" on NBC. Well, that was all the push that I needed to continue. That show really inspires me to give 100 percent of myself. I'm loving this healthier way of life.

It's so wonderful having you a part of the team. I encourage you to post as often as you like.

I've been missing in action a bit on the boards but so thankful for co-team member Lizzy63 for keeping things up to par. Please stop by my page to stay abreast to what's going on with me on a steady basis. I'm still doing all that I can to live as healthy as possible. Things have been pretty busy with me as of late and dealing with all sorts of pressures, but that hasn't stopped me from my commitment do diet and exercise. I do look forward to keeping you posted on the board (and on my blogs) of my progress. I went through many of the team members pages and see that you are all doing a fantastic job. Keep up the great work!

I got in a great workout this morning. There's just something about turning up the notch a bit, sweating, and having fun. That goes a long way in keeping my morale up. Spring got here on yesterday and I'm looking forward to getting outside for walks and enjoying all the beautiful sunshine. It's raining here today, but overall a beautiful day. I hope everyone is sticking to their own personal goals. Keep up the great work!

Hi Everyone!

Recently we've had a number of issues with members posting copyrighted information- primarily in their blogs. The original authors have been contacting us, asking that their work be removed, or properly cited, or in some instances they want to be paid for the fact that someone else is using it.

I'm asking that you pass along this reminder to your teams:

If you are going to post something on the boards or in your blog that someone else has written, you need to credit the source. Our policy is that you can post a few sentences and then you need to link to the source so that people can read the rest of it. You should not be posting an entire article, for instance, and if you are going to post something you always need to cite it.

Do that every week and that's 50 pounds in a year!!

Take measurements, if you haven't already, many times you will see a difference in the tape even when the scale doesn't move.

I weigh on Sundays too, so we'll keep each other company emoticon

I'm new to the team, just joined today. Yep I think everyone took February off or was to busy.

I agree with the spring in your step! I am hoping so Spring forward my journey through this weight loss, life changing adventure.

My scale was stuck too, I lost 1 lb. I am hoping it's just a start to get the scale moving again!! I guess we'll see on Sunday. That's when I weight in.

Hey everyone!!!

Are we all that busy???

Time to put a spring in your step, it's March!

Finally I stopped gaining and actually lost 3 pounds last week, looking forward to getting into the 150's AGAIN.


I really want to get back to under 140 by my birthday in July.

Welcome to all new team members. It's so wonderful to have you here. I've been away for a few weeks but so happy to be back. While go though I still kept up with my exercise and eating healthy, so I didn't gain any weight. It's raining here today which makes for a pretty ugly day. Hope everyone is doing good!

Sitting here half sleepy and really needing and wanting this Thanksgiving break. It's been a good day. Worked out (did 30 minutes of Tae Bo) and then 45 minutes strength training.

So sleepy today, being a bit under the weather as well. I still managed to get in a workout of Tae Bo for 45 minutes and a full body resistance training. But think that I need to just nap right now. Pretty fitting since it's going to be raining all day.

Hello and hope everyone is doing well. It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Georgia. Much too nice to stay in so I'm about to get out for a couple hours and relax. I was up early this morning to workout at the gym. Completed my assigned program. Getting back into the swing of things, despite all the obstacles. Do need to get more sleep. Hey, take care guys!
