Good luck with those challenges Irene emoticon

Looking forward to heading down to a herb place today at the Gold Coast. Thanks Richards for telling me about it! Going with my mum, dad and his wife.

Now to know before I go that I have to restrict myself and not buy too much when I see all the great herbs etc.. available at this place. Their certified organic essential oils look awesome as well.

Today I'll be heading out shortly to get some things at the shops then coming home to do some gardening. I planted new herbs yesterday so today I need to weed the front flower garden.

I also have a cupboard that needs cleaning out want to tackle that also.

Hope you have a fantastic Saturday whatever it is you have planned

I went to Bunnings and brought some more herbs for my garden. I intend to plant them all tomorrow.

I already have herbs of Thyme, Rosemary, Mint, Celery, Parsley, Chilli, Chives, Basil,SAGE, Oregano, Shallots and Curry.

Of those herbs I currently have I add mint, thyme, rosemary chives, basil, oregano, SAGE, celery and parsley to my health shakes smoothies each day.

Today I brought, Penny Wort, Vietnamese Mint, German Chamomile, Mug Wort Variegated (Variegated Antemisia), Marjaram, Borage and Fever Few.

I would have like to have brought Coriander but for some reason every time I plant that it dies don't know what I am doing wrong.

I am hoping once they grow to add the above herbs to my smoothie mixture also. It's becoming a daily ritual, of mainly the herbs with 2 frozen fruit, fresh grated ginger and Turmeric and organic oat milk.

Not very fulling really but in my opinion very healthy if my body is actually digesting the nutrients. Something I am not sure of! But am willing to give it a go long term as it can't hurt anyhow.

tomorrow will be my gardening day hips permitting LOL I have weeds to pull out also in the front garden after all our rain.

Have a good night everyone!

My cleaner comes this morning for 1 and a half hours then I have to go and do my grocery shopping and am planning to stop into Bunnings Warehouse (hardware) it has a reasonable nursery garden centre attached to it.

Want to find some more herbs to grow in my garden to be able to add a few different ones into my smoothie each day!

Have an awesome day and keep emoticon

Heading out today to a Italian Deli not far from Brisbane City. It has the best fresh ham, turkey, cheeses, salami etc... etc... and makes the nicest freshest lunches. There coffee is to die for. Taking my dad and his wife with my mother to get some things as my dad and his wife have never been. We'll have lunch while we are there.

They also have Italian seeds direct from Italy like the original radicchio seeds might even end up getting some to try and plant. My grandmother (Nonna) used to buy her seeds from there and always had the best salads with fresh Radicchio from her garden.

Might take a look around Ikea too on the way home.

My goal for today if you like is:

to sort out an area for my cleaning products so they are more accessible.

I have the ones I use all the time handy and easy to reach.

I buy my cleaning products from an Australian company that uses less toxic ingredients some of them are actually totally natural in their collection and not just less toxic without all the nasties in it.

The products are very concentrated and come in bulk packs some of them 5 litre ones others 1 litre and I always buy extra when on special to save money.

I have them up on a top shelf that is okay when my husband is home as he can reach them down for me. But during the week when he is working it hard for me. I can use my stepping stool but stretching is no good for my right shoulder or my hips LOL

Today the goal is to sort out something better for that and having them more accessible for me.

I sometimes call myself Positive Paula. I'm glad you don't do negative either Irene!

I like to keep my mind active and my body as active as it can be. I have a life to live to the fullest. i'm not one of those people who just do nothing with their life.

What's the point of that you come to the end and say I would've like to have done this or that or whatever and never did. We have one life let's live it to the fullest I reckon.

Monday in Australia start of a new week to really keep healthy and stick to our goals and programs we can do it! repeat after me: WE CAN DO IT! Now maybe it can't be done the way you first thought but....................I do know that where there is a will there is a way!

I get quite a few emails each day from sparkpeople too I have it set to give me notifications for everything on spark people just so I don't miss out on anything.

Today i'll be composting and putting together my bin. Have brought some wood chips, sugar cane mulch, grass clippings and have card board and newspaper to shred and put in as a layering type fashion with a little water in each layer. Then I start adding in kitchen scraps as I get them. have to remember to turn it each time I add something.

There is a process to getting it write so I've found it. Will be awesome in a few months though for use on the garden.

I'm trying to teach myself online through a course Japanese Pod 101 japanese language not only will it be useful for knowing when we go on our holiday there in November learning a new language is great can help prevent things like Dementia and many other things it's great for. It's something I have always wanted to do learn japanese but never really bothered or got around to doing so. Now that we are actually going there this year I have a good incentive to do so.

It's never dull and boring around here at our place I don't let it be that way lol

Anyhow have a great weekend all it's Saturday here in Australia.

Was busy yesterday making changes to our itinerary for our planned trip to Japan in November this year. Had to change and cancel one place and re book hotel for another place. have decided now to give the bullet train a go for one part of the trip. What would take us 9 hours in normal train or car will now only take us 2 and a half hours on the bullet train.

It was a full on day yesterday sorting things out. had to go over to our son and daughters place last night to finish working out more of it after they both came home from work.

I am glad it's done now though as it was a bit of a stressful nightmare at one point yesterday morning LOL but now it's all good great in fact!

I'm off to do some grocery shopping in a little while have an awesome Friday all.

Heading out down to the Gold Coast today to do some shopping with my mother and her long time friend. They have been friends since they were both 17 and they are now in the 70's. We will have lunch out and perhaps even end up having dinner at our club.

I have to remember to ring the shopping centre at 9am my time to see if I am able to book an electric motor scooter so that I can get around and keep up with mum and her friend lol

It should be a great day. I am wanting along with a few other things to get a small bin for under my kitchen bench to put the compost rubbish in ready for my new compost bin when it arrives.

Have a great day all and keep sparking.

My best weight loss tip of all time is this perhaps:

Do not obsesses over exercise or counting calories. Just don't eat or limit your intake of processed and fatty foods, sugary foods.

Stop drinking soft drinks / soda even the diet ones. Limit your alcohol as that can really add on the kilos especially beer and sweet wines etc...

Be sure though if you don't do any planned regular exercise that you do not sit down all day and all night. Actually keep your home clean and tidy, keep your garden without weeds and looking tidy, keep your car clean and tidy all these normal everyday task for some of us with physical issues and limitations will be enough exercise just doing those normal things.

Also no obsessing over the scale just use it as a helpful tool and that's it just a helpful tool.

Hope these tips helped.

can you not transplant those dandelions Richard?

Just thought I would update on the Dandelion tea. I'm having it for it's health benefits and having the organic one and so far I'm liking it. the taste is great, a little bitter but then green tea is bitter also and I don't mind that.

Went out to my dad's for dinner last night had some roast pork 2 slices, a couple of bits of crackling, garden salad, brown rice, garlic bread 1 slice only. Had 2 glasses of muscato wine. skipped the mashed potato that was offered and skipped all the nibbles and snacks before. Did not eat any desert. So for trying to eat not to bad under the circumstances I feel I did OKAY SORT OF.

Have my son and daughter coming over today to work out some more things for our trip later in the year to Japan.

Anyhow have a great day everyone and enjoy what's left of your weekend. emoticon

Sounds like a plan that just simply makes sense Richard.

I'm finding it very interesting as I do more research on my liver body type and my nomad geno type. They seem to be working hand in hand and fitting like a together perfectly like a jigsaw puzzle. So many things are now making sense to me.

My cleaner that I have through the NEXTT Scheme here is coming to do her 1 and half hours of cleaning she'll do our en suite bathroom and vacuum and wash all floors. which will be awesome. Never seems to have enough time to do both bathrooms. i'm not complaining though as any help is a great help. What's even more awesome is that it only costs me $7.00 a fortnight as our government here subsidies the rest.

Have a great day all emoticon

Sounds like a very simple plan there Richard that could work and obviously does if your SIL lost weight with it. Could be a good plan. Thanks for sharing.

A thread for everything and anything members may care to mention.

Cheers Richard

Just thought I would make mention of an ancient easy diet.
It is the 1 my SIL used to use whenever she wished to lose weight.
You could call it "The Simplicity Diet"
This dates back to about 1978.
It just consists of eating salads and steak.
In this era people could vary the protein sources rather than only having meat
Cheers
