Patwalks, try the suggestions here or research plantar fasciitis. I still battle mine as the minute I let up, it starts coming back. I really need to go to a running store and have a gait analysis done. There has to be a reason it keeps coming back. I have tried to change my gait and stride to no avail. The stretches and rolling keep it at bay though. Wishing you the best!

How is your foot now, months later? All better, I hope. I just developed plantar fasciitis and am asking people what helped them heal. Thanks

What you can try too is freezing a bottle of ice water and rolling your foot on that when you have pain. also there are stretches that help.

I think mine at least is plantar fasciitis. I found an article on Spark about common running injuries, and this fits it to a T. Unfortunately, now I can't find the article! But basically what I've been doing is the stretches it suggested and it seems to be helping!

I don't know what it is, but I have been having heel pain as well. Mine does not feel like a sore muscle, but the actual bone. It doesn't hurt all the time, only when I first start walking on it after sitting down a while or upon waking. It is more annoying right now, yet I worry it will get worse instead of better. Let me know if you figure it out, as I will you. emoticon

I signed up for the Hot Chocolate run, and, I'm excited about it, but I've been having heel pain. It feels like a sore muscle, but it's not going away. My shoes are only a few months old.
I haven't been running for about a month because coffee this, but I really want to start again. Does anyone have any ideas? I feel, silly going to a doctor for being 'sore'! I want to run again!
