One of the biggest pleasure these days is my daily walk. Many times I start out the door saying"I'll just walk 10 min today. I can do that." Nest thing I know it is a half or more later and I'm just getting home. Love it!

God Bless

Nice posts from fellow 70's. One of the things which always strikes me (having gone through this process three times and only 7 or 8 pounds from goal) -- once that walking routine is exactly that - a routine that I enjoy with my book on tape - I am feeling so much better both physically and emotionally - making that process of healthy eating so much easier. We are blessed to be in Florida so I can get the day started with my walk, and it just keeps me going for the rest of the day. It sure is an attitude enhancer.

One step at a time.

It is so hard to explain to people and make them understand how great life is when you exert just a little effort to take care of yourself.

Good morning Alice and all,

I agree that good health is necessary to truly enjoy life. I have been blessed with good health for most of my life. I watch my roommate allow her health to deteriorate on a daily basis. She doesn't enjoy life at all. She sits in her chair all day every day playing games on her computer. Her doctor has had therapists come out to help her establish an exercise program. Still she doesn't exercise, or even get out of her chair. It is a problem for me to watch her health failing and so rapidly. Please everyone out there take good care of yourself.

Love, Judy emoticon

It is a great life, isn't it? All my students returned safely from their trips to visit family in Mexico. We had some rain here, maybe its the end of the drought. With my weight loss I went and got a new hairdo to show off the whole package.
Celebrate and love every day!

Congratulations on that new great-grandchild. I know you are going to have fun. I got to visit six of my great-grandchildren in Flagstaff last spring. They are so wonderful to watch. I am able now to help those children out with magazine subscriptions that will help them to learn to read and to enjoy learning about other things. The feedback I am getting is so satisfying.

I explained in,"Lets Have a Chat Over a Cuppa" about the things that are happening in my life right now. I know many of you will recall similar events. I am so glad that I have the experience to know how to deal with these challenges.

Have a wonderful weekend. Please Share some of your triumphs past and present with us.

Love, Judy emoticon

I feel so blessed by dear friends.
On two occasions this week, we were recipients of money in our Christmas cards from friends.
God meets all our needs.

I am so glad I'm retired! I now have time to enjoy all the good things in my life. Isn't it great to have the time to take the excursions and see family (and new babies)?

Judy-such a nice topic. Be so careful in the fog. Last month, we hit a fog bank and at the stop sign we hit black ice and flew across the road into a bog. God was watching out for us and we were OK. I called one of our sons and he pulled us out of the ditch. Someone up High was watching over us because we crossed over a busy road and no cars were coming. We thought the car was a loss but one of our sons fixed it and not much damage was done.
I like the description of your ride, it was nice. So sorry you had ignition problems.

MRSJERRYBUSH- Wonderful. We had our second great grandson in August. They are a gift from God.

This is such a nice time of the year when the lights bring joy and brighten the dark.
Have a good day.
Leona

I had a lovely morning today. We had a marvelous breakfast with our friends before we left their home to return to ours. Spokane was lovely with hoar frost on all the trees and brush. It was bitterly cold and foggy there. We broke out of the fog to brilliant sunshine just before we reached Ellensburg. The sun was setting when we started through Snoqualime Pass and the mountains were resplendent in their new coats of snow. It was dark by the time we got to North Bend on the west side of the pass. The drive back to my son's home took about six + hours.

We stopped along the way to pick up James, my former caregiver. After we picked him up the key for the ignition wouldn't turn off and come out so we continued on to my son's home and called AAA to get the lock fixed.

James and I continued on to do my monthly shopping. We had a great time and only forgot a couple of things. We will go back to pick those up later. We got home about midnight and now I am catching up with you. It is getting too late now and I need to get some sleep. My legs are still feeling the vibration of the road. Maybe they will settle down if I get prone.

Hope you all had just as much fun as I today.

Love, Judy
