I have No S'd on and off (more on) for close to 5 years. It really is a great way to get your eating under control. However when getting started, I find the S days are very binge-ly. I've had to adjust this aspect, be it tracking calories on the weekend or limiting the 'S' to one treat ...though that's not as easy as it sounds. I feel so much more in control when I No S.

It may be so that just to have meal gaps and to train oneself to eat only at set times in itself does a lot of good with regard to overcoming binge eating. Whether it's 3 or 4 or 6 times per day, most imporant may be to agree to eat only at set times.
During the treatment for binge eating that I followed we were told to eat 6 times per day - 3 meals and 3 snacks, at set times. The amount of food was also set.
You may think that there is a big difference between eating 6 times or 3 times per day but the principle remains that you will NOT EAT in between! And not more or other things than are on your food plan.

I'm looking for a change in life. To eat like a normal person would.
This diet seems easy to follow. I'm hoping I will lose some weight.
Only time will tell.

LENORE048 I read about the No S diet but I'm thinking if maybe it's a bit too restrictive?
I'm worried that it will cause me to binge because of the diet part.. emoticon No sweets feels a bit scary.
On the other hand I've seen lots of success stories from other binge eaters who finally got to a healthy weight AND healthy relationship with food thanks to this diet so maybe it's worth a try..?

I'm trying to eat 3 meals a day. After a rather chaotic eatin schedule where I would just anything in my mouth at any time of the time, the 3 meals a day sound very structured.

I've been successful this month. Whenever I finish a meal, I count at least 4 hours till the next meal and promise myself (and publicly if necessary - hour commitments) that I won't eat again until the next meal.

Well, I agree with you on that one, eating all the time did nothing for my weight loss. My wish is to get into the 3-meals-a-day habit and then make it 2 meals. But everyone knows what works for them best.

I just started the diet The No S Diet. You eat 3 meals a day, No sweets, no seconds, and no snacks. On all the S days (Sat. Sun., and Special occasions) you can eat what ever you like.
This is my first day. I do miss my sweets. And the evening is when I binge. I'm on Day 5.

So this is a big challenge. Nothing is going to change unless I do something different.

Good luck. emoticon

Hi! Just wondering if anyone had success with eating 3 regular meals a day instead of the dieter's 6 small meals a day approach or 3 meals + 2 small snacks?

I feel like this constant eating in between is doing more harm than good. I can't stop thinking about food if I'm always eating..!
