I have a friend who has been on WW and lost a lot. Trouble with me is I dont take the time to learn the points system and I hate going to meetings. I need to just decide to do this. I know what to do. Carol

Carol, I am doing WW digital. I had won a $100 credit card and they had a special where I got the first 2 months free but you're locked into 8 more months. But the end cost will just be around $103. I needed something that would kick me in the butt and get me going and I believe this is doing it. I couldn't keep up with the BLE lifestyle.

I weighed today because yesterday I realized that Wednesday was my weigh in day. I was a day off. I lost 1.4 pounds after all. I am down to 181.6. It must have caught up. You can do it Carol (although I am no longer doing BLE--I just can't do that anymore).

Oh, Linda, it is a journey. I weighed this morning and up 18 lbs from my lowest 2 years ago. Why do we do this to ourselves? I guess I need to seriously get back to BLE. Seriously. The first step is to be honest with myself. CArol

I was down a pound this morning but I decided I need to start weighing daily again. I had stopped that process but seeing a lower weight motivates me. This morning I had leftover chicken salad and lettuce for breakfast leftover from lunch yesterday. At a restaurant and their portions are huge! I thought, why not.
We learn a lot of each diet we try don't we? I think portion control is the biggest thing for me. You can eat fruit but if you double the portion it doesn't help. Last night we had Stouffer's lasagna which made 4 portions for us. Two leftover for lunches instead of consuming the whole thing.
I am also learning to embrace hunger. Instead of cleaning my plate, I measure out the portions and stop eating if it is too much. Maybe this will work. Carol

I've noticed that I'm embracing my hunger and trying not to eat when tummy growls. Last night had a meeting at a local restaurant specializing in sandwiches, etc. I ate before and everyone else got these huge sandwiches and fries. I didn't even want any of it. When I got home, I had a bar and wanted to snack but talked myself out of it. I seem to be able to keep away if I concentrate on it. And keeping my portions in a sane amount. Carol

Staying on track and not eating snacks is paying off. I'm down 3.6 pounds since Sunday so I did lose the 3 I gained on vacation. Not halfway through the month, hopefully I can lose another 3 or 4 this month. Just need to keep my mind in the game.

I've got a wedding in September so I'd like to lose a few. Eating my veggies and tracking. I struggle with eating bread and chip products so I've been avoiding them, except for last night. I don't know what I'll be wearing. Things are slow on the planning side. It's just one of those things. First wedding for bride and her mother.

I've got plenty of freggies this week and will enjoy them without reserve. I love to eat fresh foods during the summer and all year but summer foods are most fun.

Have a great day.

Well, I have veered off of BLE strictness but I'm keeping my portions and not snacking much. Not eating as much fruit either. Breakfast is usually a piece of Good seeds bread with brie cheese. Might have fruit or not. Lunch yesterday was a hamburger with lettuce, tomato and mayo and bun with a few chips. I had a chip snack in afternoon. Then we went out to Longhorns and I had the 6 oz sirloin with salad, dressing on the side and broccoli. All delicous and nothing left. So I feel like I'm doing well enough. Carol

June was a bust - I had two goals and reached neither one of them -- I need to get my head on straight!! I have started a new program through my husband's insurance and the SP 5% Summer Challenge is starting this week.

So my July goals are:
1. Lose 5-6 pounds
2. Be consistent with the two challenges
3. Metabolic Renewal strength workout M-W-F
4. Walk at least 5000 steps a day and try to have an average of 6000 steps a day for the month.
5. Limit sugar intake

Didn't do really well in June. My June goals were:
1) walk/exercise 1 hour daily (most days)
2) eliminate junk/fast foods (DQ one day)
3) finish the donation quilts (no)
4) finish 2 items for Etsy shop (1)

For July I have to get serious. I don't exercise outside much when it is hot, so gonna have to find something inside to do. We do have a trip to the beach planned, so I think I'll concentrate on swimming.

July goals:
1) get 10,000 steps daily
2) stay in nutrition goals
3) finish cactus and donation quilts
4) finish 1 item for Etsy shop
