Was going through some of my old posts and found this one. Needless to say, I didn't stick with Dr's Clinic very long. The low calorie count was kinda scary (just like the HcG diet in a way) and I would get horrible calf and foot cramps.
I'm now at 204 and I'm really frustrated. I guess in a way I want it all off NOW and reality is... it didn't go ON over night, and it's not going to COME OFF over night!
Keep me in prayer while I figure out what to do. I have the right calories figured out, it's just a matter of not reaching for the bad stuff in all that I used to eat. Habits are a hard thing to break!

i never tried it but i heard the number of calories they have you eat daily is so low that its not healthy and you gain the weight back once you stop going to Dr.s Clinic.

I went on it numerous years ago. The way all the pills made me feel, I called my doctor at the time. He was not happy. The problem my doctor had with it is the fact that the pills include things like water pills and laxatives--or they used to, caffeine, etc. He told me that it messes up the metabolism of the body. That was years ago. I have no idea if they still use stuff like that. But I so trust that doctor--who is now deceased and missed, that I won't try it again.

Hugs to you,
Darlene

I have thought about it, but my husband was very ill last summer and the cardiologist suggested lap band when we asked about another way to lose wt I asked specifically about them and he didn't really say anything negative, but indicated it was worse than useless

I have never done it, but have a good friend that did. The only thing once she stopped going she gained it all back plus some. Lots of success for you.

I wanted to ask if anyone else is doing the Doctor's Clinic here in Amarillo. I had huge success back in 2008-09 doing their program, then switched to another doctor doing the same program in order to save money.
Well, I was about 10 pounds short of my goal weight, and tons of stressful situations sabotaged my program and now I'm back to my original weight with some added pains and aches. I feel in my spirit that the clinic is the way for me to go so that I can be closely watched. They were the ones that first found my Thyroid disease, and it was verified by other specialists, so I trust them totally.
Let me know if you do the same thing...
