Nope, never heard of them. I live off the 91 and La Sierra, so a little ways away but not terribly far. Have you done much research yet on events? I haven't done much so far. Let me know if you hear of anything. My schedule's going to be shifting here soon though, I FINALLY got a job offer, even though it's temporary, so I really want to make sure my fitness is affected by it! But I gotta see what kind of hours I'll be putting in and what I can commit to :)

Hi there!
Have you ever heard of the Loma Linda Lopers? They meet both in Loma Linda and in Riverside by Citrus Park early, early Saturday morning. They train for the LA Marathon.

I have been going back and forth about doing a half marathon for this year. I just wanted to start looking at events then go from there.

Which part of Riverside are you from? A running group sounds great to me if not too far from my house- I live by the Plaza.

I am suprised how similar our stories are! I got super, super skinny (102) and then after kids I just could not get myself to be that regimented and controlling over food in fear that I would pass on bad eating habits/body image.

Take Care! emoticon

I've been looking into running as I've been thinking of trying to run a half or full marathon this year. Is there anyone out there who is also looking at this as a goal? Anyone who has already done this and has some advice for the rest of us? I came across this plan for those who don't run to train for a marathon in 30 weeks and thought I'd share:

Maybe some people would like to start a small running group in the area?
