Not to mention if you go below 1200 calories your body can go into starvation mode which can mess up your weight loss.

Welcome! You have come to the right place for HEALTHY weight loss! Your body needs enough calories and nutrients to have optimal health, you risk skimping on the nutritionand having your body losing muscle instead of fat if calories are too low! You can exercise as much as you are used to, that isn't usually a problem. emoticon

I am feeling really good about my first 2 days with SP. This is the first time I'm eating more than 1200 calories expecting weight loss.It makes me a little nervous. Can anyone offer me any tips or insight on how eating more will result in a loss? Will I be most successful with following the recommended calorie range and recommended exercise amount? I'm used to exercising more than what was suggested. I appreciate insight from those who may be able to help me understand a little better.

Thanks
