Today I visited a Wellness Fair. Lots of interesting exhibitors and I participated in 30 minutes of Boot Camp with my trainer, she was one of the exhibitors! So I got a freebie!

Today I did yet another hour of step aerobics and ab work. I also logged on to SP and logged my food intake for the day.

Good morning all, It is so good to see some posters here. I like the fact that we are all committed to making our lives better by eating healthy and exercising. Sometimes we have to be patient with ourselves. It takes time to learn new habits. We fall back to our old ways and it is hard to give up the easy way. But being healthy and feeling good is so worth the extra time we spend. Time reading labels, time spent at a gym or walking, time to make a healthy home cooked meal from fresh real ingredients.

We are worth it and so are our families. Never forget that. Think of the example we are setting for our children when we live a healthy lifestyle. I saw a great video on FB the other day of Mrs Obama with school kids, they were all warming up, doing a dance for a physical activity. What a great message she was sending to those kids. Be active, you are worth my time to be active with you!!!!

So no matter where you are in your journey, starting over, in the middle, near the end, maintaining, or just beginning we are in this together and we are worth it. We deserve it and we can do it. We just have to make it happen for ourselves.

I just started over completely I had lost a good amount of wieght only to gain it back so I went all the way back to the beginning. Im back at only ten minutes daily of exercising, tracking every bite again, and getting all my water in . I decided for me going back to the beginning is the best I have actually gained way more knowledge this time around Im not just dieting Im learning how to change my lifestyle.

Good luck to everyone with their own weight loss or lifestyle changes

Morning, went to boot camp this morning. It is very tough but I love it. I have been going since last July and I really notice the change in my body now. Even though I have not lost many lbs I can see the change in my legs, arms and back! Now to get some results in the mid section!

LCBragg, I am having issues with either wheat or gluten, not sure which so i am just learning all about it. I have a Dummies book for reference right now and have been reading up online. I have cut out all the obvious sources but am learning about all the hidden sources now. I cannot believe how much better I feel for cutting out the grains. Still have some issues but so much better. I am working with my doctor and hoping to get a referral to a dietician. I also have a very good friend who is Celiac so she has been helping me as well.

I walked and am trying to figure out what else I can eat tonight to get in my calories and protiens for the day. I have to read labels because I am gluten intolerant-- and gluten is in so much stuff. It is hidden in salad dressings, even low fat ones, yogurts, soups and the list goes on.

I am eating healthier, getting back on the road to weight loss, encouraging others and speaking my goals out loud to myself on my afternoon walk. I beleive if you TALK yourself into succeeding you will succeed! I set small goals. and say it. I CAN and WILL lose 5 lbs this month! I CAN cook better and leaner for my family EVERYDAY!

I live near Toronto ON Canada, there is a group of women runners who run a 3 part race each year open to women only. The first part is on May 29, the race is called Women Set the Pace. I am actually walking the race, I don't run! I tried the last part last fall, an 8 K walk, came in dead last!!! That is fine with me, I just wanted to finish it and I did. It was also my birthday! I wanted to walk to work today but it is really raining hard and I have no ride home, I work evenings so not thrilled with the idea of walking home late at night!

Label reading is so important but can be so confusing, hard to know which to go for low fat low sodium or low sugar!! Also hard to find foods that have all of the above that also taste decent. I tend to try and buy as few unpackaged pre-made foods as possible but of course you have to buy some stuff, granola sandal wearing back to the land I am not!!! I have noticed that lots of the tomato products and soups are now available low sugar and low sodium, with low fat as an added bonus.

You have a wonderful day. We will chat again I am sure.

Good job LCBragg! today I got in just over two hours of yard work, mostly raking leaves out of my front garden beds and putting them into the brown paper composting sacks. Perfect day weather wise, sunny and warm. I think spring has finally arrived!!!! Tomorrow I walk, going for at least 5 km.

Today I am focusing on accurate tracking of my food and water, I am making sure that all my water is in by 4pm! So far I have 4 cups in and it is 11:35 EST so I am on track.

I also have my breakfast and morning snack, both tracked and I am figuring out my lunch and supper right now, then I will plug in snacks for mid afternoon and evening, although I am trying not to snack in the evening..... ;)

Sorry about your gain. I am in a plateau right now, gain 1 lose 1, been playing with this 1 lb for about 3 months now. I think I need to find a shake up! I did some reading today online, here on Spark and elsewhere. Nothing concrete. I think I need to up my activity and try and get some more protein in. Can't hurt!

Wish you the best at the doctor visit.

Good for you Divediva1 - 20 days in a row is an accomplishment. I did my 20 minutes of dancing this morning, and ate a decent breakfast. I am up again this morning, two weeks in a row, so I am going to have to get serious. I have a Dr. appt. the first of the month, and they are not going to be very happy with me if I come in and have gained weight. My Dr. is so nice and tries to understand where I am coming from, but I think she can get pretty serious if I don't do what I say I am going to do. I will try harder.

God's spirit lives in my body, help me to live up to what he expects of me.

Today is the 19th day in a row that I have used the Spark site to the fullest, by reading articles, posting messages, getting in touch with my teams, posting on my Spark Page. It is now becoming a habit and I am feeling that it is part of my life style to eat healthier and exercise. Like having my shower in the morning or brushing my teeth. My goals are to get healthy and that means to eat well and be physical, I do that the excess pounds will go away, hopefully forever!

I logged into SP, started my routine of blogging and being a part of the community. I'm having unspecified anxiety this morning, which I used to handle by overeating. I'm learning to recognize and combat in healthier ways...

Now I'm waiting for the anxiety to go away...maybe some Just Dance for Wii?

Wish me luck!

Today...for the LAST time, I am totally discussed with myself. I have done battle with the likes of pasta, pizza, cinnamon bears, pastry, noodles, candy bars, cherry pie, chocolate cake...any tasty treat you can think of...only to loose by gaining some 75 pounds over the years!
But, today I am throwing in the towel...no more...the battle is over! I am putting all these enemies out of my life. I am in a battle to lose weight and I am determined to shed those 75 lbs.
Tomorrow I will walk for 30 minutes and count my calories...eat my veggies and fruit and drink my water...all the things that I know will bring me success. I am on my way.
I will report to you all tomorrow...pray for me.

Took a walk this morning between bus connections on the way to work. Yep, packed my Starbuck's Strong blend in my sealed cup, and that was the reward for finishing. Nothing like the smell of fresh coffee you can't have until you finish. If I get no more exercise at all today, I do have 20 minutes in, right?

At Bible Study today, we are supposed to keep track of our self control issues this week. Boy do I have some work to do. That is what I need with my food, so I am going to use self control today.

God's spirit lives in my body, help me to live up to what he expects of me.
