Got up early and did my workout two days this week. Did my exercise on Sunday so that's three for three. I controlled my eating and got in vegetables and fruits instead of chocolate and sugar.

Today I decided that today has to be the day to change. I want to focus more on what I eat. Get back to the healthy eating. I did good and lost almost 40 lbs from Jun2008 to Jul2009. I had foot surgery which caused me not to walk as much and then well you all know the rest....from Jul2009 to the present I have put back on around 25lbs. So, Today I decided that today has to be the day to change. emoticon

Do you just dance to a tape or do you have a routine that you use. I like to dance, too, and I usually just dance to the tv music channel. Slow, fast, whatever it plays. I have so far to go to lose all the weight, I could wear out the carpet if I continue. Good look with your dancing. I am new this time around again, also. I have tried so many times.

had a second session for the week with my new personal trainer at my new gym! woohoo! i am so "blissfully" sore and achy BUT this will be a great remindser of how far I had fallen off the exercise wagon (inactivity since mid Nov '10)...

I got up before everyone and walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Then when my munchkins went down for a nap I walked for another 30 minutes :) My goal is work out at least 30 minutes a day so I did more than my goal today emoticon

Set an exercise goal to challenge myself to exercise consistently 10 minutes a day to establish a pattern of moving. After establishing a pattern, I can build on it.

I went to my weight watcher meeting. Counted all my points today. Help a friend clean her garage for exercise. Went with my daughter to swim lesson for my twin grandson. Had to get in the water with them.
So it was a good day. Merry Christmas everybody

I got up early and did a 35 min. "The Firm" DVD before getting ready for work.
I ate within my calorie range and took my dog for a 2 mile walk tonight after work.

Goal #1 -20 lbs. by 12/25/10
Goal #2 -20 lbs. by 4/1/11
Goal #3 -22 lbs. by 6/11/11
Goal #3- 12 lbs. by 9/1/11

It's not as much what I did, as what I didn't do.

I didn't sneak off to the store for chips, though i was alone most of the day

I didn't truck to mcdonald's or culver's for ice cream

I didn't sit in front of the tv all day

I didn't consume several 20 oz bottles of Mt Dew today

the things I did instead:

got a radically different haircut, cleaned the house, groomed the dogs, walked (indoors today due a winter storm coming in$

Great job, Kabooper.

I ate very well today. I had a meeting and someone brought donuts. I never buy donuts, but I love one once in a while. I had decided last night though not to eat any refined sugar for the next 5 days to help curb cravings I've been having for junk food. Even though those donuts were sitting there for 2 hours I was able to resist them. Yeah me!

Today was a 6k run at my half marathon race pace. I did it in 34 minutes (5:40/km pace) but I can't really maintain that pace for 21.1k. I think I can probably do a 6 minute pace the whole way though. We'll see. My next half is on Saturday.

Are you keeping up with the walking? I had an easier week this week because I was giving my knee a bit of a rest. I have some tight muscles that are pulling on the knee and making it hurt to run. I walked on Tuesday and Wednesday then ran on Friday and today. I also did some P90X dvds in there.

I got 10 1/2 miles total today with 8 miles at the Zoo ! Plus a nice weights work out at the gym this a.m.
1998 calories burned walking alone
1844 calories eaten
1st day i have been able to out work my intake !
very tired going to bed way early tonight ..
Plus the wifee isn't away working Yea haw.

.2 is .2 lol huge loss .. I will take it!

Hey Oscar007, great job today. It sounds like you had a really fun owl walk. Losing weight is making it easier to run for sure. I agree that you probably want to stick with walking for a while yet. It's not worth hurting yourself and walking does the job too.

Day was dreary and started off slow n kinda bad to be honest.( So my blog states lol)

BUT

I watched some good vblogs and read some nice motivational things. Thanks to some good friends.

Then i made myself a super healthy breakfast and went to it.

Hi Kathy , Your doing so great!! I can not waite until i lose enough weight to run again. I am carrying 3 50 pound bags of dog food around all day and it hurts my hips,knees n feet too much still.
I plan on evaluating this every 10 to 15 pound loss.
Looks like its just me and you in this post for now. Maybe others will get motivated by us n join in. emoticon

We went on a owl walk this evening and was very different . They only have em once a year and my kids and me enjoyed it very much . I got a little over a extra mile in walking ta boot.
Heard a screach owl and a Barred owl too. the naturist lead girl was very energetic so things went very smoothly.

I had to eat at a Potluck today...
Oh man my first really huge temptation this month.
I ate one plate instead of 2 or 3(i love potluck and they had sooooo much main courses that were so good), I had a bowl of bananapaloopa for desert...i couldnt ressist. luckily i was running late and missed breakfast ..because the calories was over what i am allowed for 2.5 meals. Barely made em but still stayed in my range for the day .

Again kept my calories in check.
worked out at the gym for 20 minutes then stretched for 10 in the steam room after.
lost 2 more pounds!!
Drank 8 glasses of water

I kept to my goal calories yeasterday(its 12 12 am now).
I worked out and walked.
I drank 8 glasses of water.

Tuesday evening I did a 6k run and one hour stretching dvd. Today I packed a good lunch, ate according to my plan all day, got all my protein (one of my trouble areas, drank lots of water and did another P90X dvd. Now I'm off to bed to get enough sleep.

Walking is good. Give yourself credit for what you did even if it wasn't as much as you usually do, or think you should do.

Monday I did a 40 minute recovery walk and a 1 hour P90X dvd (Core Synergistics).

Today so far I've planned out all my meals for the day and packed a healthy lunch.
