I swear by Ryka's I found them 2 years ago, and they have made all the difference. I no longer have the pain I used to, especially in my hips. Try a pair on and you will feel the difference. They are made just for women, by women, to handle the way we walk. Bonus they are $70 or less, and you can often find them on sale at shoe carnival. I got 3 pairs for $110 a few weeks ago!! Love these shoes!!

Goal 1000 fitness minutes/month!

I may not be to the finish line yet--but at least I am in the race!

A healthy me is up to ME!!!!!

There is an article on here somewhere on finding the right workout shoe. One thing I remember from it is, to go to a shoe store and ask them to measure your gait (I think that is how it is spelled). They can find the right shoe that fits your foot when you ask them to measure that.

Hi there,

I also have a flat foot and the inside of my feet roll inwards that I have to have special shoes and insoles to prevent that from happening. The kind of shoe you are looking for is a stability shoe and an insole that has a ridge on the inside of the the foot so that it prevents the rolling inward motion of the foot. I went to a shoe store called "Tradehome" in my local mall, they have associates that are required to go to school first before selling their shoes. I would see if you have anyone like that that you could go to in your town to show you shoe recommendations like that.

Good Morning All,

I am looking for some good workout sneakers that don't have an arch (arches in my sneakers seem to both my feet). I have really wide feet and all the sneakers I have purchased in the past seem to be so tight and uncomfortable (even if I bought a size bigger). When working out in the sneakers I currently have the side of my right foot seems to burn and then the arches of my feet also seems to bother me which makes it even worse to workout on top the lower back pain and the shooting pain in my calves. Please help!
