I am trying to get in some exercise at home. A gym at this time is not a good option for me due to finances, time constraints(i work two jobs), very uncomfortable there, and I have fibromyalgia and really struggling with it to exercise. I do hope in the future i can go to the gym. Right now i am struggling to get started on living more healthy and exercise at all.

For me it's the gym, for 3 reasons--#1 I get to actually focus on what I am doing. At home there are kids, pets, and a hubby--interruptions abound. This is my ME time. I talk to very few people when I go to the gym, it's my head down GO time. Full focus on me.

#2 Ellipticals, bikes, treadmills, pool, spa, saunas, steam rooms, classes and my personal trainer. you get the point.

#3 It's only a 15 minute drive from my house, I can blast music in the car, and sing at the top of my lungs =)

Now all that being said, if I am short on time, or it's super nice out, and I don't want to be inside; I will totally laces up my sneaks and pound the pavement=)

The trick for me is getting out of my house. Since I am a home schooling stay at home mom, it is crucial for me to get some ME time everyday. I am a much nicer person if I do, and I normally choose exercise as this time. I love my family tons, but I love them better when I work out.

I like both but I feel like if I go to the gym I can take classes and have the opportunity to meet other people with my same struggle and we can motivate each other by attending the class together. On the other hand, being at home allows me to do whatever DVD or workout I choose and for as long as I want.

Definitely at home. It's more cost effective for me and time effective. If I had to get up and drive to the gym every morning, I would have to get up at least by 3. That doesn't work for me. I like my sleep.

I like working out at home. Mostly because it saves money but also because the last time I went to a gym I felt out of place.
I like working out in private.

I like going to the gym better because I know I will push harder usually, but it is usually not worth the 40 miles of driving so unless I am working or already going to town for something else I work out at home.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

I prefer to work out at home or walk in my neighborhood. The drive to the gym - drive back - etc defeats what little time I have to actual work out.
