Happy Mother's day everyone! Not much time for me today, walking to work though makes a HUGE difference in how I feel and consequently my attitude and mood at work! It's only like 25-30 mins to get to work but it's my music, my head space, sunshine and some exercise on my way to get coffee, before I have to be "on" for my day at work. Lovin' it! Have a fabulous healthy day everyone!

Great job on the losses everyone!

I was out in the garden working for an hour and a half today. I think that is my favorite form of cardio (well almost emoticon )

Spending the day with my BF then going out for a date night. Looking forward to it.

Tomorrow I am going to the Mets game, I am a little worried about lunch. I am going to try to make the best choices I can, and make sure the rest of my meals are spot on!

It's a gloomy day - hoping for some sunshine for my walk later this morning. Isn't it amazing how affected you can be by the weather? The day before yesterday was a gloriously sunny day and I could do no wrong, my mood was exceptionally high. Today, I'm dragging my sorry butt around!

Whew! Weigh in day was today and I lost 2 lbs. I was so excited. That makes 5 lbs in the past month. Is it as much as I hoped? No...but it is definitely something that will keep me going.

I went shopping today, finished cleaning my kitchen, baked muffins for Rob to have something easy to have around for munchies, chopping and portioning with all my fresh veggies and cereal servings for the week, started steaks and asparagus marinating for the grill and put venison for fajita meat in the crock pot! I'm NOT going to make it easy for myself to eat junk this week after doing all this work to make my healthy stuff SO EASY!

Hi everyone.. I have been awol for about a week.. Last week in exercise class I twisted my knee. Come to find out I tore my ACL and menicus. I will have surgery June 1st to repair the ACL so it will be a long recovery process. I know now I need to lose this weight to help the knee in the future. Will really try to focus on food and upper body right now. I hope that helps it.

Wish my check in was a good one, I am having a hard time getting my day to turn around. It started off really ruff and upsetting. I am Praying to the Great Heavenly Father, and hoping that it will get me through. I know I depend on him for everything and he will see me through.

Happy belated birthday!! Good for you for being able to make an easy transition. I also will be celebrating this month and TOTALLY plan on having cake!! I know for myself that I used to beat myself up when I would cheat and convince myself that there was no point in trying because I was such a failure. THAT IS SOOO WRONG ON SOOO MANY DIFFERENT LEVELS!!!!!! I no longer have that self-destructive behavior. I've learned that each day is a blessing and if you truly can't say no, then have it and enjoy it and move on. Making choices to indulge a bit(on rare occasions only) and choosing to be okay with that decision has kept me sane!!! I know how fabulous it feels to have a day like that!!!

Good Evening All! I didn't get to the gym or exercise either Mon or Tues and I was really upset with myself. . Fortunately, I just finished up a 2.13 mile walk and feel much better for it! I'm just going to get back to moving again.

Started cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry but didn't get far. The sun came out for a moment and the rain slacked up and Wooffitt was all about going out for a walk so we did. I made chili and bread for dinner. I feel much better after walking and may even have the energy left over to work on the kitchen some more and hang out with Rob and watch a movie.

Hi Everyone -

Doing well today. In a little bit of a "down" mood but I think its more from the 6 straight clody/rainy days than anything else. Food is good. My foot is really bothering me when I exercise though. I have to call the podiatrist to get it checked out. I have been putting it off. Other than that all is well. Thanks for being here guys!

Welcome Cheryl.

I have to say that I am frustrated today. I worked my tail off this week and was really good with my food. I have not idea why the scale isn't moving. I have been stuck for 3 weeks now. I will eat like this for the rest of my life so I am not giving up but I like the reward of the weight loss. I am bummed.

I guess I should be grateful that the scale isn't going the other way. :-)

I was a member of Spark a few years ago & today I signed up again.
I've been on WW for 4 months & have taken off about 20 lbs. & still have a long haul ahead of me. One day & one pound at a time.
I came back to Spark because I know it is full of wonderful, supportive people that are in the same boat as I am. :O)

i had a great weekend and hope everyone did as well. I didnt do al whole lot but made sure i got at least 10 minutes of cardio in a day. i usually average bout 20. I went and seen Fast and Furious on Sunday and loved it. I was surprised at how easy it was to pass up on the candy and just have a small popcorn and a diet pop.

Checking in, catching up in Spark stuff, took my Wooffitt for a walk this morning and writing now for a bit to get right back on my way after giving myself an all out "cheat day" for my birthday yesterday. I'm very surprised so far how easy it is to just go right back to logging my meal planner info, making sure I check the nutritional values beyond fat, calories, carbs and protein to be sure I'm giving myself what I need in a day, checking off my Spark Streak goals as I get to them today, all of it. WOW! What do ya know!? It wasn't the end of the world to have a cheat day. I feel good about testing myself to see if I would go all out and just fall off the proverbial wagon when it came to working on being healthy if I decided to take a day off totally from keeping track of numbers. I'm so not ready to try and eat healthily without my nutrition planner by any means quite yet but I did negotiate having a day "off" my usual schedule and just go right back to it the next day without any difficulties. I even managed to drink myself just good and buzzed on my birthday without having a hang over this morning! YAY!!
I hope everyone else is having as wonderful a day as I am!!

Crazy hectic weekend cause all sorts of trouble. wound up skipping meals, walking only 1 mile daily instead of three and having 2 pieces of birthday cake because I was so stressed out.

Well I am back on schedule now. Eating all the good foods. Threw out the rest of the birthday cake and will finish my three miles when I get out of work. I will not let a bad weekend screw up my focus.

Lesa, that sounds like a very doable goal.

Looks like everyone was geared up to make good food choices this weekend. How did everyone do?

I did great! I went to visit family and since I have been doing this for 8 months they actually made food that I could eat. I even had low carb cheesecake. What a special treat!

Checking in after a long and WONDERFUL weekend. Friends and family joined us yesterday at our Great Strides walk for Cystic Fibrosis. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family come out and support our cause.
It was a 5K walk (although I think it was closer to 4 miles) and it felt great but I was sooooo stiff and sore yesterday evening! I am much better today, still a little achy but better.
I am hoping that next year maybe I can run some. That would be a great accomplishment!

Howdy everyone,
Just a quick note to check in. I'm missing some of my morning SP time on the comp since I've been walking to work instead of driving. It's still too cold here by the time you are moving faster on a bike but the walks have not been bad at all. It's been quite nice. I'm not usually a "morning person" but WOW do I have way more energy at work the days I work mornings when I walk! Thought about taking the day off since it's my actual birthday today but I really think I want to feel wonderful on my day so I'm gonna walk it again. :)

Had a full day today! Had a Memorial Tree Dedication for my mom, then out to lunch, then went and got all my gardening supplies. Just keeping up with my 2 year old was enough of a challenge for the rest of the day! LOL

Just had a day. Walked to work this morning. Not a really great day but not at all a bad day. Went to work then yoga and home to grill dinner with Rob before he had to go to work. Just a day that I'm ready to call done and crawl in bed.

Hello, just checking in. I survived my first full day of eating right and exercising. It works well for me if I plan ahead. I did that today and was able to stick to it. I even managed 30 minutes with my trainer and 45 minutes on the cardio machines. I am excited for my first weigh in next Thursday. emoticon

Everybody here seems so nice. Thanks for all the well wishes and the support. I am excited to get to know you all. emoticon
