Hi everyone, My name is Amber, i'm new to sparkpeoplem I started last friday. About 2 wks ago maybe less I was 240lbs, I weighed myself last friday when i started here and I weighed in at 236.4lbs. I weighed myself yesterday and i was 230lbs but I want to wait until friday to post my results so I can see my average weekly weightloss. My goal is to lose 100lbs by this date next year and then i wanna go and visit my friends in Maui in a Bikini and a sarong! I have never worn a bikini in my entire life. You all are doing so well and so I had to subcribe to this post. So excited to meet all of you! emoticon

This is my first weigh in so here goes...I started my plan on 1/25/11, not sure what my weight was but it was around 258 lost 6lbs. first then 2 the next but since then its only been in the ounces every week but that's ok because my measurements are good I think.

1/25/11..................3/16/11
chest 45 3/4...........43 1/4
waist 44 1/2............40 3/4
hips 52 1/2.............49 1/2
thigh 29 3/4.............28 1/2
arm 15 1/4...............14

So its not that great but I will take it! Great Job Everyone!

I was off of work this weekend and didn't make good eating choices. I thought that I had done more damage. Surprisingly, I am down a few more pounds. Before tracking at Spark People, I started at 240 pounds. I am at 216.4 this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all of your support SP!

Good luck to all who have lost and I would like to send encouragement to those who are struggling. One day and one pound at a time, IT WILL COME OFF! emoticon

Skipped yesterday's usual weigh-in, so I did it this morning.

Up 0.4 pounds to 209.8. Not surprised - only exercised one day and only ate in ranges 1 or 2 days. Really could have been worse.

I've been trying to get back on track, but seeing that almost get to the 210's again really ticked me off this morning. Maybe that will be the kick in the pants I need to get going on the right track again.

No change this week which is better than a gain but it doesn't really make me happy. Losing weight is such a great motivator!

I decided to check my measurements and have lost a total of 10inches, 5in were from my waist!

Nothing this week. But was super sick. While I couldn't eat for 3 days, I had to eat whatever would stay down when I could! So I guess same is better than any gain!

I had no change in my weight this week. I'm gonna start going to the gym 4 days a week instead of 3 days a week this week so hopefully that will help in the future.

Weight, Tuesday, February 15: 189.2
Weight Tuesday, February 22: 188.6 Down .6 today! Thank goodness for small victories.
Weight Tuesday, March 8: 193 Up 4.4. Carb overload and way too much sweets.
Weight Tuesday, March 15: 190.8 Down 2.2 from last week, half of the gain is gone! Still ate too much sweets and carbs, but I plan on doing better with that this week. March Break means I have 50 minutes less of light activity each day, so I need to make that up.

Down 2lbs this week.... .2lbs from the big 10!!! I celebrated a bit early, hoping over the weekend that I would be down 2.2lbs. I went out and bought some new shoes. I figure that's a great reward for my first 10. Good luck to everyone this week. I'll see you next Monday! emoticon

Great job guys!

I held steady this past week. I have been fighting a cold - mostly by eating comfort foods and sleeping through my workouts, so I think that maintaining my weight was actually a good thing. I'm feeling better now, so I'm looking forward to a more active week.

Cas- Are you tracking your food and exercise? I do, and I was actually surprised as to just how much I had to eat to make my calorie goal each day (unless I ate a lot of carbs).

194 lbs this am but haven't been able to exercise for 2 weeks and still have 1 more week before the Doc gave me the ok to get at it again....but I maintain and didn't gain any weight back and that's a huge wooo hoooo for me...

Plus I am now 4 months smoke free with no weight gain :)

i gained 4 pounds this week, and 2 pounds last week. BUT Its TOM this week, so i'm not sure how accurate the number is. I'm sure I gained, just not sure how much. I've been havinga real binging problem lately.
