Good Morning and Happy Saturday everyone!!
Weighed in this morning and I have lost 3.4 lbs this week. I have to say that tracking everything from what I eat, amount of water I drink, and my workouts has been really helpful for me! Just being online and reading other people's stories of success and secrets is so motivating! I feel like I am in a great mindset right now to accomplish my goals! Thanks to all of you!!!

Thank you and congrats on your upcoming wedding too! I am in the same boat with the dress thing, I get it on, just have a little to go to get it zipped all the way! :) WW is Weight Watchers and I'm really enjoying it so far. I've tried on my own for too long and finally found something that I can work with. Good luck with getting to your goal! :)

Good job on losing so much!! And congrats on your upcoming nuptials!!! I'm a bride-to-be also!! Getting married in November. My dress doesn't zip all the way at the top around the bust so I've got a few to lose too.

Second week weigh in since joining WW was last night.... and I am down another 4.2 lbs!! Total lost 10.8 lbs. I've met my 5% lost goal and couldn't be happier! I expect to start leveling off now, but if I can managed to lose 1-2 a week from now on, I'll comfortably fit into my wedding gown in March!! :)

Down 2 pounds, finally. I guess it really took me getting back to working out. It's amazing how much working out impacts me! Just started a bootcamp and am aiming for 15 pounds in 12 weeks. Seems that I have finally got my head screwed on straight again...despite having a stressful week (with the job and Packers loss lol)

Stay dedicated, it's not going to happen overnight:-)

Since the last Wednesday before yesterday, I've lost 3.6 lbs. as of this morning. Though I think that I had water weight on that weigh in, but even still that means that I've lost at least 2 lbs. So I'm very happy. It's a great start for me when I'm getting back on the bandwagon.

Down -2.8 this week! Extra motivated because I'm getting married in November!!! Got 8 months until I go for alterations! This is my first time back since I got on here in March 2010 and fizzled. Changed my lifestyle in July of '10 and was doing well (lost almost 40 lbs!) until I went back to grad school in this June! Since starting classes I gained 15lbs back!!! emoticon

Now I'm ready to get back to healthy and stay active!

I am down 2lbs! This is my first weigh in since starting back to SP and I am thrilled to see a loss. I haven't been extremely consistent this week, so hopefully this will motivate me to keep trying. :)

Well I didn't loose anything this week but I didn't gain either. And considering what I ate this weekend I am pretty pleased about that.

The first 5 days went well but then company arrived and even with good planning it was a challenge to eat out so much and fit in daily exercise. At times I failed. But this morning the scale said down 5.5 pounds (in 12 days) so that shows if I can do it under those circumstances (and still have a good time, enjoy our friends, not feel angry or deprived etc) I can do it anytime, anywhere, and this time, maintain it! Congrats to all for your losses!

Joining back after a long bender. Thought I could do it through the holidays but I fell off the wagon hard. That is in the past and I am ready to start slow and do it right this time. I have updated my goals to small ones and will make this my way of life from now on! I love this site and all who are here!

Hey everyone!
I finally got the motivation and willpower to start my weight loss journey.... Its hard at times especially when I look at my overall goal but I have to celebrate small accomplishments. :) In the past two weeks, I am happy to say I lost 5 lbs!

Stayed the same this week:-/ But I also haven't worked out in 2 weeks. Back into working out today!! I signed up for the Dirty Girl Mud Run in August, so I have a goal and motivation!! Start bootcamp Monday!! Time to turn this around!! Have a good week!

No weight gain this week. Last week 240, this week 240. I got to get back to working out but I am maintain by tracking my food. I start the biggest loser challenge at work on January 23. My 12 week goal weight for this event is 215.

Keep it up. we will reach our goals in 2012.

OMG! First weigh in was tonight since starting WW last week and I have lost 6.6 lbs! I know it's just because it was the first week and didn't expect more than 3 lbs so seeing I'm down that much has me thrilled! I know I'm following the program and getting the exercise that I should and it feels fantastic! Looking forward to the new me!!

so I weighed in again today and it's a much more believable weight. On Monday I weighed in and I was up by 3 lbs thanks to eating an entire week's worth of sodium in one sitting...today I weighed in and I was up 1 lbs from last weeks weight but down 2 lbs from Monday. I did snack after dinner last night so being up I can live with.

A few reminders to help keep the "mad at me's" at bay.
Eating a high salt (sodium) meal will allow your body to retain water. Water will add weight for a short time.

Working out will change fat into muscle (probably not correct terminology). It is a proven fact that muscle is more dense, smaller in size and weighs more than fat does.

Your weight can change drastically in a day or two. 1 to 2 pounds is reasonable to expect from day to day.

Don't allow the scale to determine your emotional status. Know that this is a lifestyle change, not just a diet. This is a change of life for the rest of your life.

How long did it take to put on the pounds? 1 year, 5 years, 20? It's going to take awhile sometimes to get the weight off. Your body may not like it either. I was watching "Made to Crave" webcast the other day. The dr said that at first your body will go into fight mode. Your body will sense the caloric intake being smaller and will fight against it thinking it's in famine mode. Don't worry when that happens. Keep doing the work! Your body will learn just like your mind does!

Water water water! Drink lots of it.
Eat lots of fiber and protein rich foods
Eat lots of veggies and fruits

Eat until you are satisfied not full.

Go get em!

(my weigh in isn't until Sunday. It's going to be drastic because I have strep...liquid diet changes the scales fast)

Gained a few lbs ova d holidays. Up by 4 lbs so will b starting back getting my health in order. Weight now 159 lbs.
