I totally understand where you're coming from. At my old job, I was always so busy throughout the day and stressed out (I was a teacher), that as soon as I got home, there was NO way I was going to be in the mood to work out. All I wanted to do was crash on the couch and eat. I started exercising later at night, because I am NOT a morning person! I know you can find articles that say exercising before bed is bad or whatever, but as a night owl, I finally got my "second wind" around 9 or 10pm, so that's when I would exercise, then shower and go to bed right afterwards. I never noticed it having a negative impact on my sleep.

I am lucky that my new job is flexible enough that most days I can work from home; the plus side is I don't have to change out of pajamas/sweats, the downside is I can wander to the fridge or pantry any time I want! For that reason, I try to go to the office at least a few times a week, if for no other reason than to just get out of my apartment and away from the kitchen.

You may want to think about exercising on your way home from work (though I have also heard not to attach your workout to your workday...man, there are so many opinions/rules out there!). That way, when you get home, right after a workout, you may be more likely to eat a healthy snack and then rest a little before your evening routine (cooking dinner, chores, etc.).

Hang in there! emoticon

Thank you! Yes it is extremely frustrating like I know better but I do it anyways and yes with it getting dark outside earlier now I really lack the motivation to go out...I used to have a gym membership but with having a new baby at home I cant really go out and do that either so I feel stuck at times I try to get up early but my bed is evil and way too comfortable in the morning lol. I too try to not bring junk in the house my boyfriend would go to 711 all the time and grab yummy stuff and the temptation was just too much but now we can't afford to do that so I will just find random crap to snack on its rediculous I need to get it together! Thank you again for the encouragement I hope I will get it together one of these days!

I have the same problem! I ate a full bag of popcorn and M&M's last night, even though I know better! I think the biggest thing is having the will power not to bring it in the house in the first place. Plus I also know what you mean about coming home and having no energy. I was working out in the morning for a while, but it's been hard to motivate myself to get out in the dark!

But you can do this! Recognizing the problems means you realize they're problems and you can find solutions for them! :) Don't lose your focus!
