As someone with exercise induced asthma, it is the best I can do at the moment. The walk breaks are needed, even with an inhaler does before the exercise. I do the walk breaks to allow the lungs and throat to recover and take a sip or two of water, which helps a great deal. I am not a fast runner even during the running part, I think a 9 to 9.5 minute mile for the running part pace.

Good for you to be creative and manage the run with the walk. :)

Whatever one can do, is good. I am not a full runner. I am a run walk interval person. Best I can do so far. I used to only walk, but after two half marathons, I decided if I wanted to do a half in under 3 hours, I would have to add some running, so been trying to do that for over two years now. Time to work back up to doing another half.

Hi. I am new to this area and have bad knees so I don't know about anything to have to do with running :) I recommend using the internet to do a search. I'm happy when I walk 10 minutes let alone run 10K!

Looking to do a 10K in late May or June. Are there any coming up that you have done in the past and you would recommend? Still new to the area and have only done one 5k in the area thus far. Let me know your favorite local area HMs too, as I am hoping to do one towards the end of the year.
