I guestimate 400 calories for 2 hours of doubles. I try to run everything down. I play 5 days a week on average.

I find the calorie counter for singles OK. When I come back from 90 minutes of tennis, I am usually 3 or 4 lbs lighter. Plus it seems a lot better workout than the elliptical machine at a heartrate of 135 bpm. Tennis is such a fun and strong workout for me, I love it!

Thanks for guiding me to the calorie counter links. I do believe that both are a little high for singles, especially for someone can easily say "nice shot" rather than try to run down every ball. In northern VA and looks like we can play warm clothes tennis next 3 days. Hot dog! emoticon

You're right that the calorie counter is way too high for tennis on Spark. I'm not sure it's even accurate for singles! I still just put the minutes in, because that's what I'm interested in tracking -- how much time I'm spending on fitness activities. Still, I wish SP would add doubles to it's calculators.

Thanks for the link! I love the calculator - it even has house cleaning as an activity. It seems like singles burns about 200 more calories an hour. emoticon

Some online calorie trackers have you put in your weight and specify singles or doubles to get a more accurate calorie count. I used the one at www.self.com to learn that I burned 360 calories yesterday for 70 minutes of doubles play. Not bad!

Okay - I am super new at this but how do you track playing doubles for a couple of hours on the fitness page? The calories burned for the tennis category seems way too high. Do you just decrease the minutes?
