Thanks everyone for the responses and tips. It feels great to know that there are others out there who struggle with the same stuff and are succeeding in losing weight, it's great motivation for me to push through hard days!!

Congratulations on your firm decision to be here.
What has worked for me is having filling, low calorie snacks for the afternoon. An apple diced and baked in the microwave with cinammon and half an oune of pecans or walnuts is surely fillin, has lots of fiber and the nuts provide good fat.

Also, there is something called jicama, sold on nature's best or latin markets. It is a watery root that fixed with salt, lime and a little bit of chili powder is really nice tasting. It can also be mixed with cucumbers and the lime's taste (it an always be lemon) leaves a nice sensation on your mouth.

You have done AMAZING!!! seems it's you who need to give tips!

No tips here other than I'm having to 'save' some calories for evening, knowing I'm going to snack anyway??? That works for me, but lots of the time I just have to use plain ole willpower!!

Hi everyone, I just found this team and it sounds like just what I need. I do fine in the morning and through lunchtime, but late afternoon is tough - I think it's because my energy starts to go down. I have two little girls (one and a half and four) and this is also the time when they are driving me crazy the most (I stay at home with them). I've tried having a snack at around three, but it's more than hunger it's like anxiety that makes me want to keep snacking on everything and anything. I'm back to Sparkpeople, I'm excercising and tracking my food, but the thoughts about snacking are a real challenge for me. If anyone has suggestions, they'd be very appreciated. So happy I found this team!
