You may lose a lot at first, but that will slow down over time. Just be honest when putting everything in the fitness tracker and entering your weight and follow Spark's calorie range.

I wouldn't worry too much about loose skin just yet. Focus on getting your routine down and think about that down the road!

YAY YOU! You took the first step needed on your lifetime journey to better health! When you asked if going from 357 to 220 in a year was too fast, several thoughts ran through my head. I've lost 55 pounds in a year, but set my goal at losing 1-2 pounds per week on average. I knew that was reality for me and I wanted to feel successful. Each person is different. I'm 55 years old and I knew it would be a slow process; and I'm good with that. I had about 125 pounds to lose total and I'm giving myself 3 years to accomplish that. Some people lose faster than me, so you'll have to figure out what is realistic for you. I can tell you're going to succeed because of your positive attitude and determination! Surround yourself with spark friends who will support you through the ups and downs of your journey and you'll be able to do this! Glad you joined the St. Louis team ~ it's a good one!

Am officially starting to be proactive and doing something about getting in shape and losing some weight.

Too many years being a couch potato and sitting on my butt all the time. Kids were for picking up what got dropped. lol *that was my motto* :p

Hubby is egyptian and that culture love heavy women, so i dont really get any complaints in that department. But lately i have been feeling so out of shape and barely climbing stairs without being out fo breath and needing to sit down for a few min. *or lay down actuall*.

i spend a lot of time on the computer, most of it in bed, laying down. am a facebook addict. lol LUV MY GAMES!

My weight has gotten up to about 357lbs. It really is taking a toll on me and i want to be active . feel i want to get out, walk, heck feel i want to do anything that requires bending over for more than a few seconds. I am oout of shape big time.

but i am gona do it. I have a free gym in my apts and started today with walking on the treadmill. I only did 10 min but heck that sucker was on a incline and i am pretty darn proud of myself for that! I thought i was gona fizzle out before 5min. lol

hoping to get down to 220... even if takes a year i would be happy. i wonder is that to fast??? i am worried about loose skin. :(
