Hello again, it's me with another request. My husband R has been having chest pains; he thought it was a lung infection but it turns out to be angina. He has been urgently referred to a cardiologist and will probably have a stent put in on Monday Feb 3rd. He is terrible about taking care of his health, and hates hospitals (don't we all!) I am taking 2 days' vacation to take him to hospital and be available whenever he is discharged. If it turns out he doesn't need a stent, he will be out on Monday afternoon, but if the stent is fitted they will keep him overnight.

In view of my previous post about S, my husband doesn't want to share his health problem with the church, so I am having to be careful not to mention it if talking to church friends! He hasn't told my DS2 yet either. He is 15. R thinks he might worry too much, as he knows S's family very well.... but I think he might worry more if he finds out a bit late.
We have had quite a roller-coaster time of things in the past week or so, and I am feeling a bit ragged at trying to hold it all together!
Thanks xx

Hello, it looks as if the previous prayer threads have fallen way down the page, so here is a new one for 2020!! I already have some subjects....

Please pray for S, a long-time friend of mine (we were in the same mission together 30 years ago), who has terminal cancer. He learned on New Year's Eve that he only has weeks to live. The cancer started in January 2019 and at first, he bounced back to health with immunotherapy, but in November 2019 they found some secondary tumors were very widespread. He and his wife E are members of our church. S believes that he still has more to do on this earth before dying, and is fervently believing for miraculous healing. E would like to believe that (as would I), but is afraid of being disappointed (me too). His most recent Dr visit was not at all encouraging. They have a daughter, L aged 19 who is away at college and a son R, who is 17 and at high school.
