Welcome to Spark People and to this team! You can do this, it willl be a challange, but you can accomplish your goals. Track your meals, exercise, and water! Be involved in teams, and it will work for you. As for red meat and pasta, during the fall and winter you can fix spagetii squash instead of pasta. We think that it is really good. It isn't available right now though. Fish has no feathers, has fewer calories and less fat than red meat. You can grill it, bake it, broil it. You can fix toppings for it with tomatoes, onions, olives, etc! My dr. suggested tofu also but I don't like it. Who knows, you might!

Welcome! You will find lots of info and support here. Those little ones take a lot of energy!!! Sounds like you may have to think about cooking something a little different for you and your husband and then share the veggies??? Good luck! You can do this!

My sister introduced me to this site and so far i am very happy with it. I will be turning 30 this year and have been over weight my ENTIRE life. I also have 2 small children at home, 5 and 3, and really want to be able to enjoy play time. I'd love to just have the energy to play with them because most days i do not. I know that i am missing out. I really want to teach them good eating habits so they do not have the same problems i had growing up. Also, i have a bit of a challenge at home, my husband is allergic to anything feathered and eating red meat and pasta all the time is not healthy. So I am absolutely open to any and all ideas and suggestions. Thanks so much and i look forward to getting to know everyone.
