I love spark and the tools it offers. Recently I was at a stand still with my weight loss and decided for a change. The points are working for me. A change of pace is good. Points, calories, points, calories, whatever works.

Counting calories doesn't work for me, but counting POINTS does, so WW's works for me. I enjoy the support here at Spark though.

rk diet? (am trying to decide whether or not to join tomorrow). I have about 40 to 45 pounds to lose. Yikes! How did that happen? Oh yeah, I started being an emotional eater in 2001 when I was diagnosed with infertility problems and dealing with a Ph. D. program. I'm now trying to reverse a decade of bad habits.

I will be 42 next month and I have started walking 3x a week with a friend, we are going to register for the Komen 5K next month also. I also bought a bicycle recently and LOVE to swim. I have some exercise DVDs (still in the package never opened) and some weight equipment (sits in a room unused!) I'm trying to decide whether or not to join Weight Watchers tomorrow or not. I want to get healthy, my husband has to take high blood pressure pills and that was a wake up call for me. I don't want to have to take medicine! So I am trying to lose weight for me but want to be a good example for the family too (we have two small boys, ages 4 and 5) so I want exercise and healthy eating to just be a regular part of their lives. Looking forward to getting to know anyone and welcome any tips/suggestions anyone has.
