Hi, and Welcome:
May be your time of transition will be a good time to focus on yourself and your kids. You can even make a daily walk or chair aerobics as PE in you home school plan.

Take it slow, one of this team's favorite sayings is "Baby steps, Baby steps".
All the best!

emoticon to the team!! It sounds like you have plenty of challenges ahead of you.

I would encourage you to start slowly with this site--it can get big and busy quickly. Use whatever tools work best for you. Then you can gradually add on as your time and circumstances allow.

One thing that helped me get started was trying to log in as often as possible; spin the wheel for some log-in points, and read one article or post a day. This allowed me to learn one new thing at a time, get to know the site and some teams, and add a few friends.

Best wishes. You picked a great team to start with! emoticon

I've never been a member of an online group, and I'm not even sure how to navigate this site, but here goes. I'm a new member, 43 years old, a nurse on a night shift, 2 kids ages 4 and 6, both adopted (boy and girl). My husband is starting a new job, so he is moving without us to that job, while we stay with my mom for 2 months, then we go to Tasmania (in Australia) with my husband for 2 and 1/2 months, and then hopefully we all move to where his job is on Long Island. Lots of stress and transition. I will be homeschooling the kids through this. I will also have to quit my job for a while and find a new one when we settle down.
And did I mention I just got out of the hospital after an acute episode of a mysterious neurological disorder that may or may not come back, and has left me with fatigue, imbalance, vertigo and visual disturbances? So excercise is hard to do lately, because I fall over alot.
Needless to say, I've gained some weight because self-care has fallen onto the back burner.
Anyhow, I've heard good things about this site--hope to hang in there and start caring for myself.
I look forward to getting to know this group!
