I'm going to wait until after Christmas to cull out my UFO's and frog some.

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, I like a cup of tea at night too, especially in winter when the winds are howling outside. One of the reasons I took up crocheting was to stave off night snacking since I knew I had to keep my work clean from the cross-stitching I used to do more of. It is a great way to keep hands busy, relax and make something useful/pretty etc

I looked at some of the challenges & I think they look promising. Thanks for the tip!

I am also learning knitting, so my UFOs are sleeping for now. Eventually I need to frog or finish! LOL

If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.

XIMENIA, welcome to the group. One of the things that helps me in the eve. time (esp. in the winter) is a cup of tea and my crochet. Don't want to get food on the crochet and it keeps my hands busy. The tea gives me the feeling of getting something sweet ( I put one sweetener in my tea).
BTW I know what you mean by UFO piles, I just added a scarf I was knitting to mine until I can finish up a Christmas gift I'm making.
Check out some of the exercise videos and challenges here on Sparks, they can be a big help.
Welcome again
Jean

Good morning!

I have recently returned to my goal of losing weight after fitful stops & starts. I have been crocheting for a few years now and find it a great creative outlet. Currently I have a wrap on the go, using an ombre yarn and some "Sunday slippers" and we won't mention my UFO pile! LOL

I am also an avid reader.

I have a weakness for sweet things, so I tried a couple of weeks of a low carb, high fat diet and now plan to transition to a more traditional diet. These couple of weeks were encouraging since I went without desserts and avoided snacking in the evening which is usually my downfall. I've also found some great YouTube video workouts which require little equipment and some space on the floor. Being 40-something, I'm easing into exercise gently, since I don't want to sideline myself. I've been feeling more energy since doing more activity, so my goal is to keep it up!

Look forward to being part of this team!
