I really love running 5k's too. I don't worry so much about what the other runners are doing, but about doing my best and increasing my time if possible. I'm still really slow. But I've never been an athlete before in my life and now I love wearing the bib and being timed. It's kept me going. I had to stop running for about 3 months because of some severe pain in my hip and right leg from sciatica. It wasn't caused by running. SO I started the program over too and am on week 5. I've done the 5k's even when I have to alternate walking and running and I'm doing much more of it running, even if slow, than walking. I want to run the 5k all the way through then start on the 10k too. Good luck to you and I know you're going to get this done!

Well I went out for a run after work tonight, it was great! I didn't realise how much I enjoyed being outside in the fresh air...it really helped clear my mind after a hard day at work.

IMSMILEY88 - I have ran a couple of 5k races & I really enjoyed them. I am going to see what races are upcoming & sign up!

Tonights run wasn't really working with the c25k plan, I just wanted to get out & see how I felt. I think I probably went to fast too soon.
I am going to print off the programme & start it on Friday emoticon

Best wishes! And, have you ran any races after completing C25K? That's what has kept me motivated. Find a 5K and run in it. Then, when you are ready, find a 10K and run in it! I know racing isn't for everyone, but it really motivates me to keep running!

Good luck!

If you are a runner, it doesn't matter how far or how fast. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run." J Bingham

So I have done this programme twice before & then once completed I haven't really taken running seriously & carried on progressing very well.

This time around I want to complete the programme & then continue on to 10k training immediately after & keep the momentum going.

I know this is a great programme & because I haven't ran for a couple of months now I am going to start over.
