emoticon Jim, you are doing great! I tried to quit for more years than I care to remember. Finally did on Oct.13, 2008 and have never been happier in my life! I had already done some lung damage but feel so much better (and smell better) now. It was a struggle for a long time but now I am free and clear and will never go back! Congratulations on quitting and welcome to non-smoking! There is a thread on here to pledge your daily NOPE that I found very helpful in keeping me on track!

Thank God in all things!

Hi Team. I think I had been trying to quit since about 2 weeks after the day I started smoking over 48 years ago. I was a failure for 47 years 11 months and that is the way I looked at it. Today I look at myself instead, as being a slow learner. On Monday I will have stopped smoking for 5 months. Then I have to try for 6 months, then 7 - 8 and so on. Right now I feel fortunate and hope I feel that way again tomorrow. I wish everyone the best ...........Jim
