I visit every day. I read voraciously posts, profiles and info about this nasty addiction that will most certainly culminate in either COPD, emphysema, heart disease or cancer. My own mother was taken by lung cancer - long-time smoker for 40 some years. You can get support there from others, also. Highly recommend it!!

emoticon Hi, you can do this. I had to quit smoking before major surgery a couple of years ago and I did. Unfortunately, I started again nine months later. I have MCTD and fibro and dysautonomia, etc. and really shouldn't smoke but it is my only stress relief right now. Can't even have a glass of wine. emoticon emoticon

I've smoked for 13 years and now due to a new lupus med (and for my chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, and GERD) I HAVE to quit, By Wednesday. I've tried to quit in the past with no luck. I am allowed to use an e-cig occasionally if the craving get too bad. I'm just scared and nervous and I really want to do this. I'm also not allowed alcohol but that isn;t a problem. please send encouragement emoticon emoticon !
