Hi Leslie,
The last time we touched base was 4 years ago. I want to know if you are continuing to live nicotine free and how you are in 2014. Is there anything I can support for you? Life surely brings on new challenges so if we don't keep up our healthier tools we could find ourselves in even bigger trouble. Drop me a note if you feel like it.

Living long term without picking up is quite the challenge for me when I have done it on my own.

You might want to check out this support group that I happen to belong to for the last dozen years. I get through all the bumps in the road of life because of the extraordinary tools and program, plus I stay for the still suffering nicotine addict to receive the same helping hand I was given.

Smokers can attend meetings with the same comfort as the non smokers, so being ready to quit is not required at all. I am gratefully over 10 years clean myself this time.

Thanks girls!

I always do so well, at first. Then by the 6th month I'm craving them again. I fought it for 2 extra months this time.

My work and home life got hectic all at once and I caved.

Your body thanks you for every day without smoking. Just keep at it and one day it will stick.

Hang in there. I have quit more times than I care to count. It gets easier every time. I've taken Wellbutrin twice and it worked for me both times, but obviously, both times I started back up. I'm taking Chantix now and it seems to work even better for me. I'm to the point if I try to smoke it makes me sick. Even the SMELL of it makes me nauseated. It's a little more spendy, and not all insurances cover it, but might be worth talking to your doctor about. I haven't had ANY of the side effects they say may accompany it.

"Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities crept in - forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it well and serenely, and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old mistakes and nonsense." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have started smoking AGAIN. I'm not beating myself up over it like I have done in the past. I have been smoking a half pack or less for 3 weeks. I started taking my Wellbutrin (Ibupropion) this morning. I'm bound and determined that I am going to do this once and for all!
