I am no expert, but if you plan to eat every day, I have only heard of either OMAD (one meal a day) or 16:8 (you can eat during a block of 8 hours a day but not the other 16). The purpose is to have large blocks of time when you are not eating. When I am fasting, I drink water or flavored seltzer - no diet soda. Also, you can have tea/coffee without sweetener. It also said no artificial sweetener, but I couldn't bear that. So, I do use artificial sweetener. Usually have just one cup of coffee in the AM and a cup of tea in the afternoon. As far as food, I follow a diet that is pretty much a Mediterranean, but I think you can choose what works best for you. Maybe others on this group will see your Q and have more extensive answers.
