I'm Jeannie and have been a sparks member for awhile. I just found this spark team and had to join. I love my Wii Fit. I have fibromyalia so I'm not on it as much as I would like. When I do I stick to the few exercise I can handle. I also love playing baseball on the Wii. I don't have to actually run around the bases, which for me is a good thing. I'm not a very fast runner. That's the one game I can beat my husband on. LOL.

Hi everyone, new to the team and to SP. Just Dance 2 on the Wii has been my exercise of choice for the past couple of weeks and I love it so much. I used to be a dancer so it an exercise that I love to do, burning calories whilst having fun - you gotta love that. Plus my 4 yr old daughter loves to dance along beside me which is great encouragement.

Hey everyone, my name is Dixie, and I am restarting my journey with sparkpeople.com. My Goal is to loose at least 1-5 inches from every part of my body by summer. I enjoy all the fitness type games for the Wii. I just don't play much at all though. I am hoping by joining this spark team that i will be challenged to play everyday, especially on Wii fit plus.

A new way to reward myself. Half-way to my first weight loss goal.

Hi everyone, my name is Dovey and I am new to this team. I have had my wii for about a year now and roller coaster between using it and not using it. When I use though, boy is it a great workout. Some of my favorite games are Dance Dance Revolution, Just Dance, Zumba, Wii Fit Plus and Golds Gym Cardio Boxing.

Make it a Great Day!

My WII finally arrived and is set up.....right now I'm mostly figuring out how to do things on it.,

Although I must admit that I'm so out of shape the MII parade kicks my butt.

Looking forward to the fun.

Hi my name is June and I live in Chesapeake, VA. My daughter and her family gave me the Wii as a gift for Valentine's Day. I am thrilled to have the Wii. I have been playing the bowling game and not doing too bad. Since I am new to Wii I need to learn about the different games. I am also going to purchase the Wii Fit Plus since that seems really popular. I am the older generation (68 yrs young) and I am having my second knee replacment in May, so I am limited to what I can do now but after surgery and rehab I will be good to go. I would appreciate any advice or suggestions since I am a newbie to the Wii. Have a great Sunday afternoon! emoticon

Hi Team, my brother actually just surprised me by sending me his Wii and Wii Fit Plus to me in the mail! He doesn't use it much and thought I would like it. I have used it before, but that was about a year ago. I'm really excited to get back on it. The last time I used it regularly I noticed a huge difference in my strength and overall I felt much better. I am hoping to partner this with my current cardio vidoes and walking program. And I think being a part of this team will keep me motivated and make it even more fun! We just set it up last night, so tonight is Day 1!

Hello all! I have to start out by saying that my wii is on loan from my sister while she's in college. Since I don't regularly play it without her, I figured I could get a better use out of it by investing in some fitness games. So as I'm poking around sparkpeople, I find this group! I already like what I see and I like the feedback about different games. I feel that the combination of my normal routine, diet, and the wii will help me out like never before!

Hi all I'm new to this team, been Sparking for a couple months now, finally getting serious about loosing weight and getting in shape. I use my Wii three days a week for cardio, I do the free step one (so I can watch TV and get in my workout at the same time) I started using just the balance board, then I elevated it on some 2X4's and this past weekend my husband made me a platform for it that's about 5" of elevation.... talk about adding resistance, the first time I worked out (on Monday) I felt like my legs were going to burn off of me, today was a little better, I even managed to do 40 Minutes instead of just 30. Good Luck to all.
PS my balance board told me once to make sure to store it flat when not in use, or the inside components could be damaged, I used to just lean it up against the wall... now I leave it flat on the floor. Just some useful info.

Just stumbled upon the team through a link on the Spark Reader's group site, and have been using my Wii for fitness for a long time now.
I love my Wii! We recently renovated our game room and the Wii was not accessible for a good 8 months and I am SO glad to have it back, but one big problem... my balance board seems to be flaking out. It tells me to step off of the board when I am not standing on it, but also says it is operating properly when I do the calibration check. I am afraid I have to replace it, but honestly, I only used it regularly for about 6 weeks prior to the renovation, so I am concerned about the durability. Has anyone else had a problem like this???

The wii was a gift from my sisters to me and our mother for christmas 09. We only have wii fit plus and wii sport. We didn't use it much. I just bought the 10 minute solutions for a knock out body but the disc doesn't seem to work. I am trying to use it more often now. I'm 5'1" and weigh between 266 and 270, it is always changing.

Hello everyone!
I got a Wii a couple years ago and I loved it! I started college last year and slowly stopped using it, so I'm hoping to start using the Wii about every day again. Good luck to everybody! :)

Hi, Everyone!
I got my Wii in January and like bowling, tennis, bike riding, etc. This week, however, I got Zumba and love it! I hope to spend some time doing this every day. I am also hoping to get the Wii Fit Plus...we'll see. I'm looking forward to doing the team challenges. Good luck, everybody! And have fun!

Hi, folks. My Wii arrived yesterday, and I'm setting it up tonight. So excited. (Next on the shopping list is the Wii Fit. Then, if I'm good and use it and save up my pennies, I get Rock Band....)

Hi Team! I bought my Wii 2 years ago and I love it!!! Especially I like 'Walk it Out' and 'Just Dance' games. However, 2 weeks ago I bought Yoga for Wii and I like it as well. So, I hope we can have fun and reach our goals together.
I'm not completely new to SP, but since I have not used it for a long time, I decided to create a new account and start from a very beginning.
I wish you all good luck with achieving your goals and I cross my fingers for all of us!

Hello Team!

I got my Wii Fit Plus for Christmas of 2009 and have loved it ever since. I've been a huge fan of working out at home for a number of years now and own an extensive collection of videos (yup, VHS!) but haven't moved most of my faves to DVD yet. Also, the Wii creates a whole new fun factor with the balance board, an idea I picked up while taking Pilates classes. I have to admit, I don't really use the Fit Plus program much anymore; my current favorites are the EA Sports Active programs (loved 1 and More Workouts, have not yet tried 2) and Ubisoft's My Fitness Coach (though I would not recommend this for beginners, although it is a solid workout).

I am thrilled to see this group with fellow Wii nuts! emoticon

I recently purchased the Wii fitness board. I am trying to work out at least 15 minutes every morning before work. I started doing the yoga moves to help me stretch. I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain from a 2002 auto accident. I would like to add other software to work out. Any suggestions? I have Wii Resort but am bored with that already.
I would like to lose at least 10 pounds by May.

My WII is on order and delivery is delayed by the horrible blizzard in the MidWest. I believe it has spent the night in Oklahoma City and three nights in Tulsa.

It's traveling more than I do.

Can't wait till it comes and I can start playing..uh, I mean exercising.

I've had a Wii and a Fit for just over a year now. I'm pretty good at the Balance games, so despite my BMI in the obesity range, it tends to peg me as three or four years younger.

I have an on again off again romance with the Fit/Fit plus. Mostly because the prompting on it adds 5-10 minutes to the simplest of tasks. But I recently dicovered FreeStep. Sure, I could set a metronome for the same level of prompting, but it's motivating for now.

I also have Sports Active and the Biggest Loser, but I'm afraid I'm not ready for the butt kicking. OK, and Sports Active is very annoying with the nunchuck always coming unattached.

But Just Dance? I can do that forever. A sweaty, red faced forever.

Hi, I am totaly new to Wii, never played before, I only have the two games that came with the console: Sports & Sports Resort I am 49, need to loose 200lbs+, and am a total couch potato.
I am hoping being able to read the blogs and info on this team will guide me to more and more activity with my Wii. Also my Wii is my internet connection, I am using it with a keyboard in the USB port right now to enter this. Going to try Wii Sports resort in just a little while. This will be my first time using Wii ever, wish me luck, lol.

Hi everyone! My name is Katie and I'm a 24 year old college student from the St. Louis area. I just played Wii Fit Plus for the first time last night. I found out that my Wii Fit age is 40...yikes. Lol. I am at the worst shape that I have EVER been in, so I suppose there is hopefully only going uphill from here. I look forward to getting to meet everyone and having people to work with on my weight loss journey!

Hi, I'm new to the team and to the Wii..... got it set up on saturday, played my first Sports game on Sunday and my first look at Sports Resort tonight.

Wii Sports reckons my Wii Fit age is 67 so there's plenty of room for improvement (I'm early 50s in real life). As a general rule I'm one of life's snails...... fast movement, fast thinking, fast reaction times are not something I can do so this could be interesting....

I hate exercise, never do it, sedentary job but I love computer games so I thought if the Wii can make exercise a bit more fun, I might do it more often!

Joined the team because i liked the idea of the Weekly Challenges, trying to beat my personal best I stand some chance, trying to beat anyone else, not a hope!

It's my sons Wii, but he got an xbox 360 and he's letting me keep the Wii in the livingroom. On Friday I started the EA Active 6 week challenge and think it's really fun. Can't wait to use the Wii more often. I look forward to using it this time of year when it gets dark before getting off work and also in the summer when it's too hot to exercise much outside.
