Using my home computer [not phone app] I set up my favorites and my groupings of my favorite meals and recipes and can do my day's menu fairly simply now....Yes it takes a while to set those up but worth the effort - now years later and the nutrition tracker is my reason for staying on Sparks!!!

Just joined thinking 'this is what I've been looking for forever....' It's got everything I always wish I had in every other app I have ever used... not just about calories or even calories and exercise, but advice, recipes, proper learning material.... I was so excited...

And then, three days later, I have given up trying to log my food in.... I cannot find basic things like 'espresso' - they're all brands and since I'm in the UK, most brands I don't even know... When they are 'custom' things, ok, let's take an example: I ALWAYS start my day with two homemade double espresso, made with an espresso machine at home, with 210 ml semi-skimmed milk. Looking for 'espresso' yields a gazillion results but none make sense; so I tried writing 'homemade espresso' and I get 'Buttercup99''s espresso which is measured as 'one serving'... what is a serving? does Buttercup use sugar? I don't!
I know that a cup of coffee does not have that man calories, so I should maybe not care so much, but I have had the same experience with every food item.... not one single one is straightforward....I cannot be sprending 4 hours a day looking through suggestions from the search function...

Maybe SparkPeople is more for people who only eat processed and brand food? I happen to cook everything (and I mean everything) from scratch.... I am so disappointed....

Am I missing something?
