emoticon DIANA_24 - well Happy belated Birthday! and Happy Anniversary to you as well emoticon emoticon hope you and your husband had a good day. don't worry about setbacks we are allowed so many cheat days ,and then we just get back on track with healthy eating and working out emoticon emoticon ,myself I have 15 pounds to go and it looks like I'm never going to lose those last 15 lbs ,so please all encourage me as well to eat healthy and not so much junk food which I intend to do and I need to drink emoticon water more often too I drink sodas instead they're really not doing me any good in the process .P.S. I think you are doing a wonderful job you know the meaning of healthy and you're really working hard when you have a bad day ,just look at it as a cheat day.and the the next day you just get back on track and that way you can have emoticon your cake and eat it too emoticon .Good luck to you as well . emoticon

Well, this weekend was hard! My birthday and our wedding anniversary are only four days apart and my husband has been working nights, since he got Saturday and Sunday off we sort of celebrated all weekend. We ate out four times (if you include Friday) and some of my choices were not as healthy as they could have been. I did get in a 2 hour walk with the dog and we swam off and on for about five hours on Sunday, but I feel like I have to start all over again to keep track of my food intake and exercise schedule!

Oh well, I guess that's life and I just have to move on. Now I know that if have something, an all day event or weekend I have to consciously set aside time to check with how I'm doing on my personal goals and if there may be something I can do to not fall completely off the wagon while still enjoying myself. My plan of winging it and the thought of "Oh, I'll squeeze it in later..." just won't work - at least not for me.

Tonight when I get home from work, I have a healthy meal waiting in the crock pot and a better mind frame for the rest of the week!

Just remember if we stumble, all we have to do is pick ourselves up and start again. Good luck everyone, the road can be bumpy.

I'm in. I have my fitness tracker to walk 5miles a week so I think I can do it. I think starting small is a great idea and if anyone wants to do more then great. We all have to work at our own level.

I will join you in the End of Summer Challenge with just one little tweak. I am going to change it to walk 1 mile the first week, then two the second on to four miles by the end of the month. My dog (also known as my walking buddy) and I, will stick to the plan better when we reach a marker rather than just stopping when the time to return is up.

Excited to start, this will be my first "Challenge" since joining a week ago!
