Hi I'm Gini. I am not new to Spark or to Leslie but have gotten away from exercise totally for over a year. I am at my highest weight range ever and have joined the local Curves. I will hopefully get there on Monday to start. I am down with a virus today so I am going to have to let it run it's course. I have 1 WATP and I do love it. It is nothing so glamorous as the 3 and 4 mile walks but starts with a 1 mile and does increase to I think a 3 mile , although I never did get that far with it. I used to love to walk and hope I can find that enthusiasm again here on this team. I broke my leg last summer and put on even more weight than I had at first . I have not done anything since. I'll take all the encouragement you have to offer. Thanks in advance,

Hi! I am Peggy. I have been a member of Spark since October,2010. This is the first time that
I started to look for teams that fit me. I love to walk. I am 55yrs old. I just moved to my new
community around October and really haven't met too many people yet. I have the 3 mile power walk and the 3mile and 4mile walk away the pound express. I did have the 5 day slim
walk(I think that was the title) but my husband threw it away with the broken dvd player!
I do have the Biggest Loser Power Walk. I have a few other dvd's too. I try to mix it up to stay
motivated. I do have to get portion control down. I just don't seem to follow through with it.
I am from Virginia.

Hi there,
I am shannon and i love leslies workouts. I just did the three mile fast dvd this morning. I am doing the 4 miles super challenge tomorrow morning. I think with doing them in the am I have more energy thoroughout the day. Now to just get a handle on my food choices and get the scale moving down again. I am a sahm with a three year and an eight year old. I am 35 and we live in michigan.

Welcome to the team. I am happy you are here with us. Mix up your workouts with Walk Away the Pounds and other workouts. Like 10 minute workouts on Spark or look on youtube. They have some great workouts there too to help with the boredom. I personal do five or six different ones workouts from walking, turbo jam, hip hop abs and more. My name's Rebecca!

I worked out with leslie quite a lot last year and the year before. Then I got bored with it because there were no new workouts. However, I'm in my final year at Uni now and it seems I'm studying the whole day. I neglected most of my workouts. I am always so tired when I come home and then I just want to fall into my bed ;)
So I gained some weight which I'm trying to lose now and Leslie offers smaller workouts which is great. My goal is to sneak in one-mile workouts during the week when I'm practically living in the library and larger workouts on the weekends.

Wow that was a pretty long introduction sorry :D Oh, can you tell me whether there are any newer workouts? I mostly stopped doing them because I got so bored after having done them a few times? Thanks :D

Hi!
I am a 39yo wife and mom of 4.I need to lose 90 lbs.
I just bought the WATP 3 mile with exercise belt.I plan to begin this today.
I am cutting back on sugar and limiting my chocolate.I am drinking more water.I also have cut my daily calories to less than 1400 or less.(normally,I am probably in the 3,000 range)In the past 3 days.I've already lost 6 pounds!

Hi I'm Nikki and I love Leslie Sansone's dvds. With a 3 month old baby at home, it's so much easier for me to do exercises that don't require going to the gym, ect. Her 4 fast miles dvd really gives me a good workout. Love it:)

Hello,

My name is Kathy and I just joined this group today. I've had one of Leslie's dvds for some time but have been doing EA Sports - but now my knees really hurt a lot with all the squatting they make a person do.

So, I'm going to give Leslie's DVD a try. It looks like what I need in my life every morning. I've always been a walker, just not an "indoor" walker - but living in Alaska - indoors is good. :)

If you have any suggestions, favorite exercise/walking DVDs that you would like to recommend - please feel free to share with me.

I'm looking forward to starting my walking routine tomorrow morning - I'd start today but I have to have my son show me how to unhook the Wii and hook up the DVD player and he won't be home till later. :)

Technology is sometimes confusing... :)

Hello - I've decided to make walking my main form of exercise. I can do it at work, at home with Leslie and ouside. It offers great variety and I find it helps me with my stress. I heard someone call walking "moving meditation" and that's describes it perfectly for me.

This seems to be a great Team for support and for getting walking information and tips.

m 26 yrs old stay home mom of 2 kids!
starting today at 150 lbs and my goal is to lose 25lbs in 6 months. Joined this group as i like to walk and feel tht its the easiest workout. I walk for 20 minutes and cover 2 miles.

Hi,
I am Lizzi, living in Ohio. I have been on SP for about 5 years now, but have not actually lost any weight. I have been doing Leslie Sansone's DVDs for a number of years off and on. I don't really have much of a problem doing exercise - though I don't like it! My biggest problem is I am a picky eater, I don't like vegetables. But I thought that if I joined a team, I would at least be able to start working my way to a healthier life, even if it is only exercise.

Salutations from WA,

I've been joining & leaving multiple teams this week as a way to strengthen my support system of SP ~ so as a result Iíve neglected to introduce myself but Iím a very dedicated walker w/ Leslie Sansone. I have two of her DVDís a 3 mile Power Walk & her 4-Mile Walk w/ a resistance stretchy. Iíve been walking now religiously every day for over two weeks and am feeling so much better; Iím up to 3 miles a day and have walked 12 miles this weekÖ..w/ a goal to walk 2 more today!

I have shared a lot in my blog recently about my surprised abilities but the truth is I was quite the serious athlete when I was younger and walking was something I loved to do ~ so itís no surprise that I adore these DVDís and wake up itching to take a walk at home!

I look forward to meeting other fellow LS fans and may each of you have a beautiful day of walking!

I'm Margaret, and I've been using Leslie Sansone's DVD's since October 2010. I started with her Walk & Sculpt - 2 and 3 mile walks. For Christmas, I got the Fast & Firm Four Mile Walk. Now, I alternate the 2 DVD's to keep things interesting.

Hi My name is Kathy and I am pretty new to Spark but have loved it so far..I love to walk and well need to do it more..I am trying to get to my goal weight and have some health issues so I have taken up walking..I love to go in the morning after I take my daughter to school..I would also like to do my first 5K in April..not sure if the knee will be ready but I sure am going to give it a try..I sure am excited to get walking..

Hi everyone, I'm Tee. i've been with sp for about a lil over a year..... I often get bored working out by myself, so i start and stop. loose weight, then gain it back. I love Leslie Sansome... Hi Everyone I'm Tia. I've been a spark member for a year and a half. I took off 20 lbs in 2009 but then put it back on and more. I rejoined in late summer of 2010. I've taken off just over 30 lbs since rejoining. I enjoy walking as my primary form of cardio. I especially enjoy Leslie's dvds. I also strength train using Curves. I also enjoy belly dancing. My goal is to take off another 45lbs during 2011. I am excited about continuing to make exercise a regular part of my lifestyle along with eating only what my body can burn off within a day.

Hi everyone I am new to SP but not new to Leslie's great walking program I also a member of weight watchers online and walkathome.com walk club for a little over a year now. I started out my journey weighing 215 lbs in 2009 I sigend up for WW online then and signed up for the walk club in 12-2009 and to date have lost almost74.8 lbs to date in addition to Leslie's dvds and some vhs that I sitll have I also take 3 zumba classes per week statred taking those at the end of June 2010 also have a nintendo Wii with the firness games also have countless other exercise dvds and equipment as I like to do a wide variety of exercise but I do Leslie's dvds at least 5 times per week and the zumba on the weekends. I do all the challenges on the walk club and I'm on the life is good team if anyone else from the walk club at Leslie's site is on here too. My name is Maritza and I'm 39 year old. :)

I'm up to 2 miles a day......started out walking 1 mile a day......and I can't wait to walk w/ Leslie again today! Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie, and I'm a 40-year old romance author from the deep south. I've been married seventeen years to my best friend, and we have two boys (ages 13 and 9). I've lost 20 pounds so far with Sparkpeople, but I still have 130 pounds to lose, so I'm in this for the long haul. I'm inching my way downward though, slowly but surely.

I've always been a huge fan of Leslie's workout DVD's because, being the size I am, I can modify them to fit my needs, which is awesome. Right now I'm using her one mile DVD's, but I hope to do more as the weight keeps coming off.

My name is Lynn and I'm from East Central Alabama. I love walking with Leslie and have committed myself to doing so at least 4-5 times a week. I currently have an exercise partner and between the 2 of us we have all the dvd's I think!

Hi my name is Kim im from Indiana, i really need to get this weight off, my goal is too be healthier and to feel better about myself. I need some motivation, I have been praying for help in that department. I have around 60 lbs to lose. Please help. If anyone wants a buddy let me know. we can keep in touch

Hi My name is Steve and I live in Nevada. I walk about 8-9 miles 6 days a week. I desperately need to lose 28 lbs. more. This is the first time that I am reaching out to other walkers to help encourge me when I get down and in the dumps. Thank you for letting me join.

Hi all - my name is Ann and I'm a 51 year old in Texas who has let the weight pile on! As part of my new year's resolutions (in mid-January) I picked 3 goals. One is to lose weight and when I recently discovered the Walking dvds I knew I finally found something I could do. Now I actually look forward to working out. My friends have already grown weary of my Leslie Walking ravings so I'm bringing them here!

I can do it, so can you. It just might take a while! Go get it... Ann

Hi, I'm valerie, in Texas. I got fat (228, 5' 2") and my knees hurt, and I love that Leslie's dvds are so uncomplicated and not at all intimidating, and don't wreck havoc on my knees!! I started with 1 mile, barely made it, now i've been doing 2 miles, and next week I am starting the 3 mile fast walk. So happy to find other "walk at home" fans!!!!

H Carrie here.I joined the team,I just got started bsck into walking,I do walk,but I need to walk lots more.With my knee problems walking will help.

Hello, my name is Lauren and walking is a fav hobby of mine. Whether I am getting in a quick hour before work or taking my dog Precious on a couple hour walk, walking makes me very happy. Along with walking I do some strength training, but walking seems to be the best thing for my knee right now until it doesn't hurt anymore.
