Just a few thoughts on exercise and back issues. This is where baby steps are super-important. The key is to start small and build up very slowly. Back issues will magnify soreness and pain if you overdo it too quickly.

I have orthotics and they are the best thing I ever spent money on (and they were expensive). However, it made all the difference in me being able to stand up straight.

If you can afford it, make an appointment to see a physical therapist. They can help you determine the best exercises to use with your back issues. Strengthening your core (abdominal muscles) can make a world of difference.

Not severe, but enough to cause a lot of pain the next day whenever I exercise. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago by my new doctor, who is an osteopath. Other doctors didn't know why I had so much pain in my lower back. I was supposed to go to a physical therapist a couple of years ago and get orthotics ... but I didn't. It's the first thing I'm going to do in the new year so I can get back on track. Thought I'd join this team as it seems like a positive and encouraging group.
