Hey 20 pounds is 20 pounds.
As you are starting back into your program you might want to read some of the articles I put on this team about exercising with back pain.

If you go to the main Backache team page you will see a section that has tabs News, Announcements, Photos, Links, Blogs. Click on the Links heading. It will show you the first couple of articles and you can go to the More section - 3 pages of articles, etc. The biggest thing is to start working on your core. When you let your abdominal muscles get weak it puts more stress on your back.

Hello everyone. My name is Angie. I am a disabled Army veteran and now an Army wife and stay at home mom of two little girls, ages 3 and 13 months. I have a permanently pinched nerve in my back due to physical activities in the Army, which makes working out (as well as every day life) very challenging.

I gained 50 pounds right before and during my last pregnancy and now that my daughter is a year old I've decided it's time to make myself lose the weight. My goal is to lose 40 lbs and I've already lost 20 :) Halfway there!
