So glad to hear from you. I think I lost another pound today, but I jumped up and down on the scale to make sure and I don't think that is the idea at all.

Where do you live? I miss the snow sometimes. I used to ski a lot when I was in great shape. I think it might scare me now, but it was sure great exercise. The weather here in St. Augustine, FL has been so terribly humid and hot for the last 2 months. Global warming??? Today is beautiful - about 70 degrees right now. We do our weekly grocery shopping on Wednesday and this is the first time I have had a husband to accompany me on this chore. He is funny and fun. I am going to make the Spark recipe for crockpot lasagna today and I will let you know how it turns out. Then a cookie recipe for Soft Applesauce Raisin cookies. YUM.

I used to be a medical transcriptionist working about 18 hours a day with a huge amount of stress, so this is heaven on earth for me to be retired, having a really good husband, and getting healthy.

I better stop or you will think I am a nut going on and on. But just want you to know I care about what you are doing to get healthy and I am rooting for you and for me too. emoticon

Hey, Thanks so much for the encouragement!!!! It means more than you can know.

I "did" weight watchers for YEARS and stayed at the same weight... because like the article I read says... i wasn't being very true to it. I counted points...when i wanted to. :)

I'm hoping that i can get my hubby involved in the journey this time. As a couple, I think we could DO IT, not just TRY it. :)

I WISH I lived by the beach... the snow is supposed to start falling next week... ick!!

Congratulations on the weight loss. I also "restarted" WW about a dozen times, but was not getting anywhere except getting a slimmer wallet. Now, this I love!! Free and fun and the same thing as WW. I love the message boards. Let me know how you do - I am with you. emoticon

I live about 2 blocks from the beach in St. Augustine, so now that it is getting cooler there is absolutely no reason not to ride my bike down there and have at it walking, etc. I love living here. Went through a horrendous divorce in 2010 after 30 years and I found a most wonderful man and he wanted to marry me!!! So now that my heartbreak is over, I am ready to lose this darn weight gain. Keep at it - we can do it.

Me also on the pictures that can't get put on the profile. HOWEVER - I lost 5 pounds the first week WOO HOO and I bought the book today at Barnes & Noble. Sort of fell down a little bit on the exercise today - but will get right back up tomorrow. LOVE this free site. Everyone is so inspiring and the recipes are awesome.
