Hi Amy, nice to "meet" you!
Today I did a chilly 30 minute walk -- it was only 50 degrees out when I did it. (I'm in Michigan.) Then I went to a one hour swim exercise class, and now am relaxing and reading all these nice supportive sprakpeople emails! This week I designed my "motivation visual" poster to look at while I do my Leslie Sansone walking DVDs also. It has a picture of Rocky on it, a picture of colored peppers (my new healthy addiction), about 15 motivation quotes, and the list of my new sparkpeople goals. I love being a part of and I read "The Spark" book last week, so I appreciate it even more.
Have a nice day!

Welcome Dar. Glad to have you stop by.

I don't use the DVD's unless the weather is bad. I try to do my walking outside first thing in the morning. The fresh weather helps my mood.

I tore the meniscus in my knees and some days her DVD's are all i can do.

I joined the gym about 6 months ago and tried one of their step classes. All member's seemed to be in the late 30's. When my knee went out and I fell, I felt so embarrassed. Now I'm strictly an in home aerobic person.

Welcome to the team.

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to find this team! I have used the Leslie Sansone DVDs for about 2 years on and off, but last year I introduced them to my class of mentally impaired adults and saw great results with the class -- weight loss, increased confidence, increased alertness, better balance. Now that I have retired, I am not as motivated to do the DVDs every day like I was with my students, so I am hoping being a part of this team will help me get back to consistently using them. My goal is 30 - 45 minutes a day, so far I average 15 - 30 minutes every other day, so I have a ways to go. I'm going to read through all the team emails later on today. Thanks for starting this team!
