Hi Donna, I need someone to help keep me accountable. We have melting here. My boyfriend and I went to Gore Mtn. and they had lots of snow. I skiied for the first time (after about 4 hours of lessons) so I felt great. I did 5 runs on Sat. we had a blast and we took a different way back and I showed him lots of great places.
I would love to have a buddy and we could encourage each other.

I'm new to this challenge. I need to start eating the correct way.

Hi, I'm new to this challenge. I love vegetables but need to increase fruit. I thought this would be a great incentive to do that. Looking forward to seeing how everyone else is doing it.

Hello Jen, I'm Brenda. I joined at the end of January. I did well at the beginning, but I'm currently struggling- I'm holding on without gaining, but I'd like to lose! :-) (I think I really need summer- or some sunshine, at least. The Minnesota winter is getting long.) Congratulations for quitting smoking! That's awesome and a major hurdle! Exercise is so easy to say no to. Just do it. It's hard getting there, but you'll never regret you did. I've had plenty of days where I don't feel like going to the gym, but I do it anyway. I'm ALWAYS glad I did. I feel so much better afterward. It lifts the spirits! I'm hoping you do well! Keep in touch!

I just joined this group as I need to get back on track since winter has been hard on me this year, but getting closer to spring and feeling better. I will have a sunlamp for winter next year and it will help with the seasonal affective depression. I look forward to getting back on track and this group will help me eat better and follow goals I have set for myself.

I've found that following the meal plan here, or at least something similar is simple and I don't overeat or snack on things I shouldn't. I log everything I eat in my nutrition journal here and track my exercise in the fitness journal. These tools are wonderful! There are plenty of videos here to get you started on exercise. I really like the 10-minute jump rope video by Coach Nicole. That burns off calories in a very short period of time and gets your heart beating.

I quickly gained weight when I quit smoking too so I'm here to stop gaining and whip my flabby self into shape!

Hello all. I am Jen and am 56, married and live in Howe, Indiana. I have been struggling with my weight since I quit smoking 20 years ago. I lost 23 pounds last year but seemed to stall on losing around Thanksgiving. I did put 2 pounds on over the holidays but I have taken that same 2 pounds off now 3 times since January. I am hoping that this group will help me get rebooted. I know that I have been slacking on exercise but can't seem to get motivated. If anyone has any helpful hints I am all ears. It's snowing here. Beautiful if you don't have to get out in it.
