Hello!

I'm Lynda, and twelve has always been my lucky number so I'm making 2012 my year. I plan to focus on five important areas of my life to work on, and getting fit and losing some weight is one of the five. Hi. I'm Laura the DogLady. I've been on Spark People since April 2009. I lost about 15 pounds and I've been stuck there for more than a year. But I started running last June and I dropped an entire dress size, but not any weight. Go figure.

I like the structure and support of challenges. I'm looking to make some friends here. I've mostly kept to myself on Spark People, but I'd like to change that. I've blogged a little bit and I'm always so encouraged when people respond! I could benefit from the support of others.

Hi, My name is Cindy. I am determined to lose this weight. I have asthma and arthritis, but I am going to do my best to follow the workouts. Maybe a little modified at first, but I am going to do the best I can to get to better levels. I am going to be 65 in March, but I don't feel 65 at all. I am young at heart. My name is Marlena. I am a 34 year old, single mother of 2 daughters that are 10 and 16. I have been on spark since Feb 11, 2008. In March of 2008 I started a team called Challenge + Motivation = Weight Loss. It has really grown since then. It is an active team and we have over 15,000 members now. We have monthly challenges but Im also up for additional challenge, thats why I came here and joined. A extra boost for the New Year!

I have lost 46.6 LBS since joining spark. 26.6 of that was last year! I finally made it to ONDERLAND thanks to spark for the first time in 16 years! Im so thankful to Spark and to those who have supported me along the way. It has not been an easy journey at times. Lost and Gained, plateaus, all that good stuff, but Ive trudged along and kept at it and in the long run it has paid off!

My name is shelley, I wanted to join this challenge to help keep me motivated. I plan on doing both Tae Bo PT 24/7, as well as Chalean Extreme. I have been doing chalean for about 3 weeks, and just started my Tae Bo today. I am very excited to see my results, I plan on looking good for summer this year. I did not get to wear shorts or tank tops for the last couple of years, and want to change that. I also want to be able to keep up with my grandson, that is very important to me.

Hi there. My name is Amanda. I had a baby in 2007 and reached 155 lbs by 2010 and decided it was time to get some of the excess weight off. I had never weighed more than 125 before pregnancy. I know 155 may not seem like a lot but for my very petite 5'3" frame, I was definitely overweight. I lost 30 lbs by November of 2010 and was down to 125. My goal weight was 118 and I just never reached it. I slacked the entire year of 2011 and ended up gaining back 10 lbs, so I am now back to 135. I just want to try again to get back to the goal I never reached and maintain it. I am only 17 lbs away! If I could lose 30 lbs before, I know I can do THIS! Whew, easier said than done I know, but I thought if I joined this challenge it would help kick me in gear. Let's go!

I woke up this morning determined to make a change. I want to loose weight and be healthy. For the first time, I am strongly determined to be the type of fabulous that I was born to be. I am a stay at home mom who had poor eating habits until today. Until today, I was a 187 pounds. Until today, I did not exercise regularly. I am not new to SparkPeople, but I guess I have been more of a "wisher". I wish I would move more, I wish I would lose weight, I wish I was healthier. I have been on the site off and on since 2007. I had a serious health problem in 2009 and I have gained 30 pounds. Because of the weight gain and being confined to the house for so long, I feel like I am twenty years older than I am. So at 61 I feel about 80. It is time to get moving! I hope this challenge will get me started and keep me moving for all of 2012! emoticon

I'm Tracy, and I'm not really trying to lose any weight, just eat healthier and get toned. Trying to get into the habit of exercising 4-5 times per week again. Finishing up physical therapy from a knee surgery I had in November, so I want to get back to working out like I was pre-surgery.

Hi! My name is Kelly and I've been away from Spark People for too long. I started in 2010 but have gotten away from tracking my food. I've put on some extra pounds and want to lose them by being more disciplined with my eating.
