SAPONI1,
Exercise doesn't matter all that much. Great for fitness.

Carbs, or lack of them makes all the difference.

Welcome back. I'm a returning member of the spark team too! Good to have you here. Lot's of sound, friendly advice here. I too am adopting atkins as a lifestyle, and losing weight as I go along. I love it. Again, welcome, and post often. Bill.

We're glad to have you here!

No surprise at all that you are losing with the LC lifestyle. Congrats on making that healthy choice!
...and there's no "of course" about exercise. That's a nice tool for toning and emotional health... but for weight loss, it's not specifically effective. Not to say it isn't a healthy part of the lifestyle! But, as others have noted, you can't exercise away a bad diet!

Welcome - and we hope you'll check in and post with us often

Welcome! You say that you are not new to SP, and that you are surprised to see the pounds leave on Atkins. Are you new to Atkins? Either way, we're glad you're here with us!

Hi, I just came back to Sparkpeople after a couple of years. I've been doing Atkins for 2 weeks now. And to my surprise, I'm actually seeing the pounds leave. Along with exercise of course. But I love reading everybody comments. emoticon
