Hi and welcome!

I think a lot of us are afraid to make the commitment to just "be" low carb. I use it as a description of my eating in the same way that a vegetarian or vegan does.

Your motivation is always there, it's the resolve that wavers. Work on just a few essential habits and make them non-negotiable, then build on that.

MAMAPRINCE,
Welcome.

I do feel "worse" when eating carbs. Last night at the bar I didn't drink beer but the breading on the deep fried pickles (and other things) did me in.

I'm up 3 pounds this morning, and I feel puffy. I know it will be gone tomorrow, but I don't want to feel like that all the time.

Staying low carb in a world such as this can be so very difficult. Just look around us. Over 80% of the grocery aisles are dedicated to carby foods! I actually did the math at all the grocery stores as I went to them. It was very disturbing to say the least.

But you CAN do this and make yourself healthy and feel so much better! This team is an awesome team - the best support anywhere on the internet for LC, in my opinion.

Hi My name is Busara and I am here trying to train my body to eat better and generally get healthy. I have always known that my body generally feels better when I do not indulge in carbs but the challenge I have always had is as soon as I feel better I drop off the wagon and a few weeks/ months later I wake up and realize I can not stand that bad feeling anymore. I would like to be able to stay motivated to make better choices and to learn to stay low carb as a lifestyle and not just for relief.
