Hi, Dottie - I don't think we've met. :) I haven't been on sparlpeople for a couple years.this team used to be very active, but I see it's somewhat sparse now. Anyway, I'm back - after stepping on the scale for the first time in years and having my suspicions confirmed! LOL!
I'm a fit person (personal trainer, and pilates instructor), a vegan, and eat whole foods and exercise. My downfall has been a new found love of micro brewery beers!!! I finally checked on the calories: 200+ each, and I've been drinking 3 or 4 a day! yep! So, I've quit beer (except for an occasional dinner out special treat),
and am back to my daily run (starting at 2 miles, but will increase).
2 lbs down since my big shock on Friday. :)

thanks for taking over the team,

Creative writer, Personal trainer. photographer.

Hi Dottie,

I haven't been visiting SP for some time but have recently started back as I really need to get my weight and health under control. I'll pop into the team again and see whats been going on while I've been away.

I'm Dottie and I am a new team leader here! I'm really excited to get to know you and help each other work toward our goals! I wish everyone a super weekend.

About me - I am 52 and soon to be a grandmother for the second time - my daughter is due late August/early September. This will be my second grandchild, our first biological so we are all excited about a brand new baby in the house. I have been a spark member on and off for the last few years, but back issues have been plaguing me this year something awful. I do what I can and hope for the best, however since March of this year I have not managed to do well in the losing area....but its a new day and I think as long as we come back and not give up its a good thing. emoticon

I work part-time as my hours have been cut since after last Christmas, its just the economy in our area is bad and its the trinkle down effect that has my hours where they are. I still work a lot of hours but have been reduced to 10 to 12 hours a week most of the time.

My hobbies are scrapbooking and I am working on an album from our vacation last year, as well as getting a book ready for the new baby and working on another for our other little guy. emoticon

I look forward to working together with all of you and reaching some of our goals. My best advice is take things one day at a time, baby steps if you will, everyone goes at their own pace. And most of all BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! emoticon We are worth it!!! emoticon
