Welcome to the group. The first 7 days were rough for me, but after seeing the loss after C1, I was glad I kept going. Good luck to you.

Deanna - following is a link to a blog I wrote about my experiences with the first 7 days on the diet. It's a wonder I didn't quit. I stuck it out by telling myself that I could do anything for 17 days. I had to keep repeating it over and over. I won't kid you it was hard. I had psyched myself to want to change though. Nightime eating was my biggest problem (notice I said "WAS" emoticon ). I couldn't watch TV for the first 5 days because TV was a big trigger for me. When I watched TV, I wanted to eat mindlessly.

See if you can find Extra sugar free dessert gum (can't get it in Canada). Key lime pie is my favorite. I still chew that at night.

Google the recipe for Kale chips. That will help with the salty, crunchy cravings. They are suprisingly delicious. I make them all the time. Just be sure to discard the stems - that's what is bitter. Way down in the cycle one recipes topic, is a link to the doctors website for yogurt "dessert" recipes (among others), like double chocolate "pudding". If you can't find it let me know.

Welcome to our great Team of Losers Deanna. You are going to love it here.
As for the detox symptoms, they vary....some feel sick to their stomach, some have bowel problems, some are dizzy, some have headaches and some feel very lathargic. Like I said they vary, but the good news is, after a few days, they go away and you feel wonderful.

This diet is great and it just gets greater and greater. I have lost 31.8lbs since April and have tried many, many, many diets before this, but never stuck to it. This one is for life.

Please check out all our forums, you will find good info in them and if they don't answer your questions, just ask us.
Look forward to seeing less of you.

Hello everyone! I am new to the group too. I have been researching and reading up on everything before deciding to jump right on in. I still have to get the book and read it cover to cover. I have printed out a Shopping list that I found on one forum topic...I am sorry but the name of the person who created it escapes me but everyone will know who I am talking about emoticon . So far this morning i have had only my greek yogurt. I knew i already loved this stuff when I took a Mediterranean cooking class. They had so many different vegetables they used it was great, but the dessert they had was greek yogurt with honey dizzled over it..yummm. Water is doing good but that would be fine cause i love water and on hot days i drink either that or the Lipton's Citrus green tea. Not sure if i can have that yet or not. My struggles may be after lunch around 2pm and in the evenings after dinner. I am hoping that with everyone here and all the great suggestions on all these different forums i will find something. I am planning on stopping on the way home to get the book and read it tonight. I wish I had a kindle so that i could download it there.
Since it is almost lunch time I am getting hungry. I did pick up some fish and veggies for lunch so I am hoping that this goes well. What have been everyone else's detox symptoms? I am hoping this to be the start of a great weight loss program. I have tried my diets before only to fail because i craved that chocolate or potato chip. I am hoping that i can find great replacements for them and hopefully get the rest of the family healthy too.
Ok off to lunch and more forum reading!

I've used protein powders in the past, but never found one that is sugar free. I'm going to look for it. Thanks!

I buy it in the health food section of my supermarket (Wegmans). There are other whey protein powders. You just have to find one without added sugars.

No, I don't think you can skip around. You can either stick to C3 or you can go from C3 to C1 or 2, but you can't go from C1 to C3 and then back to C2....would be nice though lol. Skinny cow every 17 days lol. I am going to C2 this time and I will be able to get my skinny cow in 17 days lol...instead of waiting 34 days.

I am finding c3 a little tougher this time as I am not losing like I did before....I think it is because I lost 30 lbs and now my body is just having a little vacation time before it comes off again. Hope it is enjoying it's vacation...I would love to see a downhill slide soon. lol.

Do you think you can totally skip around on round 2? Like could I go to C3 from C1 since this round 2? Not that I'm going to - I was just curious. When you finish C3 you can pick which cycle you want to be on so what about after C1 Rd2? What do ya think? Linda you're on C3 now right?

I agree with Gabby 100%...those last few days on C1 in R2, are horrendous. That is why I am going to C2 when I am finished here on C1. Haven't lost much this time round, and I am an not upset at all, just really glad I haven't gained. I guess after 30lbs, it is harder to get it off.

Julie you did so great! I'm glad that you posted your results in the other topic. I have 3 days left on C1Rd2 and I can't wait!! No detox symptoms - this time, it's the last few days that are the hardest.

Welcome to this amazing group, Happyloser! I've done all three cycles and it's time for me to start on cycle 1 again. We call that Round 2. That makes me C1D1R2 (Cycle 1, Day 1, Round 2). As you can see by my ticker below, I've lost about 20 lbs, but what is most amazing is I FEEL so much better than I have in ages!!

I hope you find the time to come here often. This team is wonderful!

Happy, if you can't eat enough protein add whey sugar free protein powder to your smoothies. I've been using vanilla flavor daily, and have no problem losing weight. Be careful though because some do have added sugar. The brand I use is "Whey To Go"

Kudos for doing what sounds like a great exercise program. I'm sure if you have any specific questions you can ask Chriss1225. She's already achieved her weight loss goal and as she said below she's focusing on training.

I can vouch for that Happylooser, I do weight training, cardio, and yoga 6 days a week and split up so I can avoid overtraining certain areas. I felt great for my workouts as long as I had a portion of protein before. It's so nice to have you here! Chaleen Extreme is a lot of fun! I'm a huge Jillian Michaels fan, just got her yoga DVD and love it!

Thanks for all the welcomes! I am looking forward to checking in with the team often.

One question I have is, I'm doing the Chalean Extreme Weight Training program right now. I am going to try to continue, but will see how my body reacts to the new eating plan. I think with the protein in this diet, it will be okay. Also going to Zumba 2 - 3 times a week and as well as some cardio on my own.

I look forward to seeing some great results just like you guys have had!

Welcome to the team! I don't think I can really add much else except after 14 Days on Cycle 1 it's the best plan I've ever been on. Like Gabby said the first week will be the hardest but you will lose your cravings for sweets (if you have them) and I've not had a french fry in these two weeks.

Please let any of us know if you have questions. This is a fabulous team that share, encourage, support one another so much.

Have a great Sunday!

Welcome again! As some of the other have implied this is a great plan and unlike other diets it just keeps getting better and better. Please do read the "tips from the pros" under the introduction forum. The first 4-7 days are the hardest and you may even get detox symptoms. Please come to us with questions or for support before giving up and cheating.

Check out the other topics also. We have a "daily menus for inspiration" which will help give you an added layer of support if you choose to participate in logging your food. We have "affirmations" etc. to help with emotional eating. We have fun topics like the "question du jour" and "jokes" and in the daily cafe "chat" you can talk about anything not even diet related.

And this is exactly what I said when I decided to start on this diet and as Terri said....92 days later and 30.4lbs later (not sure about how many inches, but my clothes are getting big on me lol), I am so happy I decided to try this diet.
This is the best diet around (in my opinion) and the one that has worked so well for me. I am hoping to lose another 25 lbs by Christmas and I know I can do it.

You can do it too, because you came in here and you are going to get all the support and love you need.

Have a great day and hope to see you in here again very, very soon.

Welcome HappyLoser49!

That is exactly what i said when I started - and today...51 days later...I am almost 17 pounds lighter and 14 inches smaller.

this works. better than anything I've ever tried.

Part of the reason would be the wonderful people I've met here on this team. They are the best! Check out the tip thread and recipes. Make yourself comfortable and come here as often as you can for the best support group ever!
