Hi there, I am new to this too, and pretty much in the same boat as you. I am going to get started today and I hope that I will receive the support and push to see me through my weight loss journey while on this forum. Hello All~
I am a 43 year old mother of 2 school aged children. I've always been a "big girl", having reached my full height by 7th grade. Over the years the weight has slowly crept on and I know it will need to slowly to come off to effectively gain a healthy lifestyle. I've been down the road before. When I put my mind to it, I lose very easily. With such instant gratification I tend to lose sight of the long term goal and find myself back in the same habits, and the weight creeps back. This time something seems to have "clicked" in me and I just picked myself up and got moving. I've not used the message boards or personal pages in the past. I'm looking for guidance and support so this time I don't lose sight of my goals: 1.) to establish a healthy routine so a healthy lifestyle can become a habit and not a chore. 2. ) to lose 100 pounds by my 44th birthday next June. I am one week in and down 9 lbs, which is exciting. I want to prevent waning enthusiasm when my loss slows down in the next weeks (I always lose quickly the first 2 - 3 weeks, as my body adjusts). I NEED YOUR HELP and am looking for the support of the Spark Community. I am thankful for this opportunity.
