Thanks so much to you all for your encouragement! I think the first thing I need to work on is to treat myself as "a friend". I would always encourage "my friend" to keep positive, not give up, just get back on track if you slip, not beat yourself up, love yourself no matter what, treat yourself well, and so many other positive things. I don't expect other people to be perfect, why should I expect it of myself??? Hmmm, something to work on. emoticon

Welcome. I had the same issue. Id go on a diet for a week and forget about it the next. Then one day I started reading Blogs and got motivated, came up with my own plan and goals and bam! Ive been happy about it ever since. The blogs realy help me stay motivated. Now I just feel great as well. And I'm only on day 5 of my personal challenge!

Hi and welcome to the team. One thing that I've had to do, even in my times of frustration and wanting to give up, is that I tell myself that this is for life. Just like brushing my teeth every day or going to work - I have to do it to get results. I also tell myself that the changes don't have to all come overnight. I work on one thing until I think that I've created a bit of a habit (like water consumption). Then I work on the next pressing thing. I will slip from time to time, but that is okay. It's all part of learning. You can do this. Give yourself a pat on the back for coming to SP and go for it!!

Well, here I am, once again, fighting the same 10 pounds that I lose and regain, lose and regain. I am either hyper-motivated and go full force, or hypo-motivated and like a sloth. I just can't seem to find a happy medium with my eating and exercising. I'm hoping this will help me find that happy medium. I am thanking you in advance for any advice you can provide to help me in leaving this state of insaneness. :-)
