I'm not new; I started this challenge 28 days ago! I am going to re-start it because I didn't give it 100% and don't feel I earned the trophy. I will this time!!!! emoticon

I joined this team because I have no idea where to start. It is too easy for me to say "I'll exercise later" and then not do it. I hope to get some definite to-dos and a ton of information from this challenge.

Hi
Just found this team. I love seeing teams where the members are actually involved. I'm looking forward to being a loser along with the rest of you losers. LOL "Loser" in a positive way, of course !

Lets all get losing our extra weight !

By the way, my tracker indicates mini goals, not my GW. I have about 50 pounds to lose.

I have been bustin butt to lose weight for two months eating right, doing two aerobics classes a week, and cardio three times a week. I finally lost my first 6 pounds. I was begining to worry. My medications cause my metabolism to slow down so that seems like the real fight. I know strength training increases fat burning so here it goes.....................BRING IT

Hi My name is Stephanie. I joined SP in Feb '10 and lost 25 lbs but got really sick and had to have surgery. Since surgery I have gained back about 9 lbs. But I'm back now and ready for Bootcamp to kick my butt...hopefully, all the way off :)

Hi my name is Kathy. I have been on sparkpeople for over a month now and just now saw this bootcamp challenge.
I have lost 20 and I want to lose 40 more pds. before June 2011 which is my wedding anniversary. I think I can do it with these videos. I am so out of shape that just doing todays video for a month would do wonders...lol
I can't wait to look like that little skinnyminnie in the video...LOL

Well looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Hi. I've been on Sparkpeople for over a year, but never really utilized it.
When I saw myself in a mirror this weekend and was totally disgusted, I knew it was time to change.

Hi Sam & Miss Onions! And all others!
My name is Niki, I am trying to make regular strength/toning a part of my routine. I have a hard time dedicating my time to it. I mostly enjoy cardio & I am in need of building muscle tone & thought that this would be a great challenge to join to get me in the groove of it all.

I must have faith in myself to be a strong person!

Hi, I'm Miss Onions, I came onto this team before but didn't make it past day two...so I'm back and this time I'm going to stick at it. I have summer coming up soon and for the first time since my third baby was born (who is now 4), I want to wear shorts. I'm sick of being the chubby chick in the pants in the middle of summer.

It's not how good you are, it's how bad you want it.

Hi,
I'm Sam. I'm a Second Year university student majoring in history and minoring in English. Needless to say, most of my day is parked in class or hunched up in the library! Over the past year, I've lost a total of 55-60lbs. As much as I LOVE my new body, I want to get in great shape, start running seriously, and lose another 20. I'm currently at 185lbs hoping to get down to 165. I love the gym at school (and it's free) and also do a lot of walking outdoors. I'm currently up at 5:45 am and am in the Gym by 6am...not the funnest thing but time management means working out in the am. 28 days...here's hoping I can lose that first 5-10lbs of my goal!

Hi everyone. I am starting this challenge and committing to 28 days, to kick start my activity. I saw a picture of myself over the weekend, and realized that I don't usually allow that to happen & why I don't usually let that happen. I look like my mother, who I've always viewed as older than her years and out of shape. Oh, and then my husband lost his job, for the 3rd time in the last year and a half. I know we're in good company with that, but it still stinks.
Anyway, I start exercise programs, but then life gets in the way because I let it. Hopefully 28 days will not only help set the routine, but produce enough results that I'll feel a little better about myself, more motivated, and less depressed.
Thanks for letting me whine!

Hi I'm Sharon and this is the second team I have joined today...my first two ever. Sundays will be my challenge but I'm excited to try and do all 28 days! I'm just a beginner of weights...I plan to start this sunday so that the sundays are a little easier as planned in the 28 day workout plan.

Hello everyone!

I'm 31 and finally losing weight that I've accumulated since I was in elementary school. I've made some progress with my weight loss, but haven't been very good at establishing an exercise routine. I'm hoping the boot camp will help with that aspect.

Hi,
My name is Melissa I'm looking for a boost to jump start my body. I got divorced about five years ago and have really let myself go (60 lb gain)120 to 180 in 2.5 seconds! Now I have a great guy and we have been planning the wedding our dreams. The wedding is May 7th 2011. I've managed to take off about 30 lbs but think I can do better. I have my dress and it looks great except when I turn around I have a MUFFIN TOP! I wanna WOW him on our big day!

Hello!

Found this group when I heard about SP's new Brides-to-be feature, and thought I'd join! I'm getting married September 23rd, 2011 (almost exactly 1 year away!) and I need to lose about 40 pounds by my wedding date, but hopefully sooner so I can make alterations to a gown! 52 weeks gives me the opportunity to lose 52 - 104 pounds, so I can definitely DO this!

I'm hoping this boot camp will help me jump start my weight loss and help me get motivated.

Hello. My name is Tamara. I have lost over 60 pounds over the course of the last year. But over the last month I have began to gain some of the weight back and have hit a wall in terms of motivation. My exercise opportunities have been limited due to family and work changes. I run 5 times a week during lunch at work for 40 minutes and every other weekend I do have unlimited access to the gym. I just need something to jump start my weight loss again. My goal is to loose 45 more pounds.

Hello! My name is Patty. I joined the group on the 18th, but am just now getting around to starting. I've been exercising every day, but feel it's time to shake things up to see if I can get into a little better shape.

God grant me the serenity to change the things I can, to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Hi! I've been a member of SP for 4 years off and on, and I've been back since the end of January of this year. I was doing really well for several months and lost a lot of weight and got really toned. Then it got really hot (I'm in GA) and I just couldn't make myself work out more than 2 or 3 days a week. I was doing 5-6 days a week. I worked too hard to lose my progress, so I'm using the Boot Camp Challenge to get myself back in the groove.

Hello everyone,

I just started the official 28-day bootcamp yesterday, with the day 1 video. Who knew you could sweat that much in just 10 minutes?!

Wish me luck!

Hello all,

I'm Julie and I am trying to get a hold on my life after 3 very rough years. I aim to become a healthier me, who can finally learn to appreciate herself and her unique beauty.
I will try really hard to do this bootcamp properly. With SPARK I have adjusted my goals to be realistic and I hope to lose 15lbs before Christmas (and the remaining after before Summer).
Good luck to all and any advice is welcomed

I am joining this challenge with someone special. We hope to meet our goals with this Challenge. I am very excited and hopeful. I am a big fan of the Spark tools I use the trackers daily. I am on many teams and I read most everything sent to me. I use the recipes also. I like to Hike, do my dvd's and the exercises I learn on Spark. I also do Zumba.

Hello to all.

California residential Realtor, mom, grandma, the other(better?)half, photographer, dog & cat owner, chief cook & bottle-washer...and the list goes on, but that's who I am. I spend way too much time in front of the computer or in the car, but not enough time being physical.

I'm more active now than before joining SP, but 30 minutes of daily exercise hasn't happened yet. So, here I am and committed to making 30 minutes of daily exercise a new habit.

A busy schedule has been my excuse up to this point. This is now an excuse of the past. I choose better health by means of exercise and healthy lifestyle changes.

Bring it on!

I am a Certified Veterinary Technician. I have been working in the field for 3 years now. I love my job but sometimes it is not as physically challenging as my previous occupation as a machine operator. I worked 12 hours shifts and was in constant motion; bending , twisting, lifting, pulling, walking to the warehouse and back. Now my biggest challenge is a fractious cat or a big dog nail trim. So inevitably the scale has crept up on me, not much but enough that I want to change the direction.

Civia here and I want to find a structured way to work strength training into my plan. I also find joining these challenges keeps me moving and focused - so in completing the 10 minute exercise and stress challenges, I'm looking for what's next.
Ideally, I would be looking at a measuring food challenge and that will come. I know for now it will help me to build strength and so here I go. This is training for my half marathon coming in May 2011!

Hi, my name is Sharon and I'm here to get a jump start on my exercise needs. I have been with Sparks for a couple months and exercise seems to be my weakest point. I can do the tracking, meals and such, but I drag when it comes to exercise and I know that it is one of the most important keys. I haven't read much about this challenge, so I'm not even sure I can do it. But I want to give it a try.

Hi everyone. My name is Jayme. I'm here to get motivated. If I have a challenge to do, I am more apt to do it, rather than.....Ok, I might workout today....To as, ok, today I have to do this. It's the challenge that allows me to get motivated into doing so.

I hope this works, which I'm sure it will.

Jayme from TN

So, I am finding that the more time I spend on Sparkpeople the morelikely my questions will be answered. emoticon I am a working mum of three beautiful boys, ages 8, 3, and 18 months, and while I have been a member of SparkPeople for a long time I have not been on here as consistently as I should be. No excuses just the truth. Having said that, I am glad to report that I am finally back into working out 5 days a week, thanks in part to a fantastic and cheap gym at the university where I work. But I have been searching for ways to add strength training to my routine, on top of a 5 hour a day commute and working full time. I think this Challenge is the answer! So thank you and I am looking forward to sharing my progress! emoticon

Hiya!

I am here because I was finding that if I wasn't doing two hour workouts I wasn't satisfied with my workouts. However, when I do two hour workouts, then I am burned the next day and I skip a few days.

So clearly I couldn't be left in charge of making my own physical fitness decisions b/c I was being wreckless. =)

So I came across this challenge and it sounded like the perfect remedy. I can now focus more on just doing my time each day, doing the video and then being happy with my results and meeting my new more realistic goals. =)

=)

I just wanted a goal to challenge myself to, this 28-day workout seemed like a great place to kick off a fitness routine!

I did the Sweatsuit to Swimsuit BootCamp a few weeks after I first started SP and that is when I realized I hadn't totally ruined my ability to exerise...although it was close. I could barely get down on the floor. Now I am on Day 35 of a Personal Exercise Streak.
I am glad I found another boot camp to challenge me.

Hi All:

My name is Dana and I joined this challenge to change things up. I have been consistently exercising for over two years now and I am not seeing the changes that I want to see. I made a commitment to lose 15 pounds by 12/09 and I want to see it through and hopefully this challenge will help me.

Cheers,
Dana

Hello Fellow Challengers! emoticon

I've got about 15 pounds to lose (mainly all situated around the top of my pants) emoticon , but as soon as I get close - I fall off the wagon and gain it all back. emoticon

About 2 months ago I stayed on track for a whole 6 weeks emoticon , but then caught a cold and just got out of the swing of things.

But, I saw and felt enough change in the way my clothes fit and even more, how I felt inside and out - so I'm on DAY 2 of this challenge and I'm pretty determined to stick with it this time around so I can feel that way again!

I wish you all the best - hoping we can all share our motivational stories as well as our set backs and help keep each other on track.

WE CAN DO THIS! I look forward to your posts and accomplishments! emoticon emoticon
